While browsing for places to eat in Cornwall I came across cafe cloud drawn in by its Vegan afternoon tea and quirky decor

me and my parents went for breakfast on a Sunday morning after strolling to Fistral beach worked up an appetite to let the dog run off some steam before eating as they’re dog friendly so he could come too !

Inside is small but with a welcoming vibe decorated in clouds which is very fitting

My parents got a small breakfast with orange juice which they enjoyed , good quality ingredients and customise to what you like and I had a Warm fresh large scone with Jam and coconut cream ( the debate which goes first ?) Paired with Cornish tea and soya milk 🥛

They Cater for allergens and different dietary ( if it wasn’t so early in the morning I probably would of got a waffle too )

Just what you need , quick , easy and tasty

The staff were friendly and efficient me and my mum even got bracelets that were handmade as a keepsake of our stay

One thing to note which was a shock there is No toilet so need to find in the area

A DAY IN THE LIFE (vegan 🌱)
Exploring NEWQUAY 🗺️

While on holiday with my family , woke up early ( in fact I pretty much didn’t sleep as I never settle when away ) so got ready and took the dog for a walk 🚶🏼‍♀️ around town to explore 👀

Got back to @travelodgeuk and waited for the parents to wake up so had a pre breakfast snack of @sprouthealthfoods raw bar and a coffee ☕️ then headed out , was going to breakfast but nothing had opened so ended up going fistral beach 🏝️

Got to @cafecloudnewquay and the decor was so cute 🥰 and dog friendly, I had to make a visit for its vegan afternoon tea 🫖 the question is jam or cream first ? Got a keepsake bracelet with my mum 🐚 then had a walk 🚶🏼‍♀️ while my mum and dad went the pub 🍺

Today was a beach day so set up base on towan and I went to @blend.nqy which was a bucket list spot while down here and didn’t disappoint , so refreshing and great service despite it being a hotspot

Paddled with the dog 🐶 went to the caves , worked up an appetite for lunch @thecentralnewquay and impressed with the vegan options followed by dessert @freddosicecream however anxiety got the best of me and had a blip but got over it as the day was overwhelming

Had a play on the field before heading to @lustyglazebeach as they had the sundown do on ! Got back to the room and ready for dinner @the.clover.club , a variety of small plates and belated birthday meal great for a special occasion and even had a cocktail 🍹
Ended the evening @greatwesternbeach

Breakfast at Cloud Cafe .

We came across @cafecloudnewquay whilst in Newquay.When we arrived the lovely ladies explained how everything on the menu could be made gluten free and was made in a separate kitchen to avoid cross contamination.I couldn’t believe my hears soon as they explained that the only thing that Kallie couldn’t have was the sausages as they contained gluten.
Full English breakfast was Kallie’s choice and how lovely it was.There wasn’t anything left on her plate and a massive thumbs up from Kallie.

This is definitely a place to visit if you’re ever in Newquay.Lovely friendly staff who are knowledgeable and understanding about gluten free.I would highly recommend to visit here as you wouldn’t be disappointed.

Saturday 23rd August 2025 - Safety notice.

Visitors to the south-west coast are being advised to take extra care next week as strong swells are forecast to affect parts of the coast of Cornwall, Devon and south Wales.

Storms in the Atlantic and spring tides are likely to combine to generate large waves as well as higher than usual sea levels from late Monday afternoon (25 August) into Wednesday (27 August).

Strong waves and currents could lead to people being swept out. Tides will also reach further with the chance of people being cut off.

Follow our simple guidance to ensure you have a fun day and come home safe:
Swim at a lifeguarded beach if you can, and pay attention to the flags
Check the tide times and keep an eye on the sea state
If the sea is rough, consider taking a dip on a calmer day
Carry a charged-up mobile phone in case you need to call for help
If you see an emergency by the coast, call 999 and ask for the Coastguard

Cornwall vegan finds 🍨🌊🌞 We stayed in Perranporth and visited St Agnes and Newquay, too.

1. Sri Lanken curry from @the_taphouse who veganised it for us.
3&4. Gorgeous ice cream and sorbet from @paradestores
5. Curry from Massala in Perranporth. We visited here twice and also remembered visiting years ago. Glad to see it's still there as it's delicious!
6. Good old reliable Spoons breakfast
8&9. Amazing giant 'sausage' roll from @st_agnes_bakery This was the tandoori one and it was lush 😍
10&11. Cream tea and waffle from @cafecloudnewquay This waffle was amazing.

What a perfect start to the day in Cornwall! The fresh morning was made even better with a visit to @cafecloudnewquay . Their vegan vanilla and vegan waffles were absolutely delicious — light, fluffy, and full of flavor. It’s not always easy to find good vegan options, but Cafe Cloud truly delivered. Cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, and amazing food.
