Killer dinner @cafecluny last night.
Grateful to the special ones. Iykyk

Burger is thick and medium rare worked well. In the absence of American Cheese, I go blue + bacon. Cause #CheddarSuxOnABurger

The Monday special eggplant parm on the second pic was the real surprise. Absolutely nothing ng like the soggy mess you get at mediocre little Italy red sauce joints this was perfect and hearty and cut with a steak knife. Phenomenal.

Mr. McNally sitting next to us was a bit of a pleasant surprise :)

𝗗𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗬𝗼𝗿𝗸, 𝗜 ❤️ 𝗬𝗼𝘂

For the past year or so, I’ve been following 𝗥𝗶𝗮 𝗦𝗶𝗺 on Instagram (@coffeecakescafe ). I don’t even remember how I first discovered her other than my algorithm frequently shows me NYC content.

Earlier this year, I picked up her book, 𝘿𝙚𝙖𝙧 𝙉𝙚𝙬 𝙔𝙤𝙧𝙠, 𝙄 𝙇𝙤𝙫𝙚 𝙔𝙤𝙪, while visiting NYC. It’s filled with colorful illustrations and Ria’s musings on life in NYC through all four seasons. This little book has brought me so much joy and fills the void when I’m missing the city.

When I was recently in NYC, I decided to explore a few places I’d discovered through Ria’s book. Then came the most serendipitous New York moment. As I walked down 𝗕𝗹𝗲𝗲𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗲𝘁 in the 𝗪𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗩𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗴𝗲, I spotted a crowd outside 𝗕𝗼𝘆𝗮𝗿 𝗚𝗶𝗳𝘁𝘀 and, to my surprise, Ria was there, selling her book and art! It was a thrill to meet her, and I took home a cute illustration of Ria’s featuring my favorite NYC bookstore, 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 & 𝗖𝗼.

It felt like one of those moments that could only happen in New York. 🗽

Swipe through for some of my new favorite discoveries, all featured in Ria’s book. 📖

If you love New York City, 𝘿𝙚𝙖𝙧 𝙉𝙚𝙬 𝙔𝙤𝙧𝙠, 𝙄 𝙇𝙤𝙫𝙚 𝙔𝙤𝙪 deserves a spot on your coffee table.

Everyone knows the West Village is the main character of New York City come fall. The streets are prettier, the outfits are better & suddenly everyone you know is fighting for a table within a five-block radius of Bleecker Street.

& while the neighborhood has never exactly struggled for attention, its restaurant scene is having a moment (again).

What’s keeping the WV at the center of the city’s dining convo & every GC Saturday plan, you say? A particular mix of buzzy newcomers, rediscovered favorites & downtown institutions.

Love to hate her, hate to love her. The West Village is that girl.

Some new, some old, all worth the hype. Here’s where everyone is eating (& most certainly drinking) in the West Village this fall.

There’s a kind of restaurant we start wanting as soon as it gets cold.

Dark wood, low light, a good bar, substantial food, somewhere you actually want to settle in for a while.

Inga’s @ingasbarnyc, Cafe Cluny @cafecluny and Fairfax @fairfaxnyc are three versions of it.

What’s the restaurant you start wanting this time of year?

The hardest part of living in NYC isn’t finding a good restaurant. It’s the moment when you’re in charge to PICK ONE🍸

Consider this your cheat sheet for girl dinner in the West Village: great food, cute interiors, and vibes that are actually worth leaving your apartment for.

Save this for the next “where should we go?” text & send it to the friend who never wants to make the reservation.

Follow @babyimhungryyy for restaurant and bar recs that are actually worth it. Your group chat’s unofficial concierge, at your service;)
