Odysseus may have the entire ocean and world against him, but at least three Greek Gods got his back 😌
(sorta, he kept on messing up)

Athena - @auntiebinthewild
Hermes - @cafededuy
Circe - @dakotahsgrotto

Because of the novel Circe, I associate Athena & Hermes with her more 🫢

When the gates of the Underworld open and Persephone and Hades beckon you in, you have no choice but to follow the river Styx and meet your fate.

Turns out this was our fate, and rumors say the gates shall open once again.

Selfie dump from this weekend because I kept my phone away for the entire night except for the last 5 minutes when I ran around like crazy making anyone I saw take a selfie with me. Swipe to the end for the best one.

Funny how I found myself more aligned with Hermes as I get older. Is Athena even my favorite Greek God anymore? Or is it the one that runs nonstop and frequently visits his extended family in the Underworld when no other Olympian would?

Photographs by @spellsnstardust, who I gave all my trust to within moments - something I rarely do with photographers. Barely ever looked at the screen to see the images taken.
We shot this in about 5 minutes because of rain & hurricane bands, and 🤤

No no you misunderstand, I'm not A horse girl, I'm THE horse girl. 🐴🐎🪵🏺

Running around @moiraesistersbooktique Underworld event as the Trojan Horse was a blast. 😂 I spent a long time building this costume and I think it came together better than I could have expected. It was honestly hilarious seeing everyone's reactions, I kept it a secret and I don't think anyone could have guessed what I was going to do even if they tried. Hope ya'll enjoyed the little soldiers I was handing out too!

Fabric and wallpaper from @spoonflower
Under skirt, original rubber horse mask, original fanny pack and bodice from Amazon
Over skirt, overlay on bodice, rhinestoning on bodice, gloves, "T" necklace, overlay on fanny pack, and stuffing/straps/wallpapering on horse mask all done by me!

Winners of the Trojan war: Athena, Achilles, Hera, and of course, the Trojan Horse! 🐎

My lovely costume contest judges Persephone and Hermes

I even won the approval from Aphrodite herself!

Duy helped me take a .5 because my arms can't reach that high lol

Still crazy to me I won the costume contest

Jump scare 😱

Witches, Marie Antoinette, and upcycling—oh my! 🧙‍♀️✨

CafeDeDuy is putting a historical twist on Halloween with an 18th-century chemise-inspired transformation of an existing garment.

Witch this Halloween? Marie Antoinette cosplay later? Why not both? 👀✂️

The god of thievery, god of tricks, divine messenger to the gods. Join @cafededuy as Hermes this Friday at Nightmares in the underworld. Swift and agile, this is a god you want on your side. We open the door for one night only. See you Friday. Photography by @spellsnstardust #greekmythology #fantasyevent #orlando #meetmeathebooktique

Hermes, the god that guides you into the Underworld, god of languages, and inventor of music (and a bunch of other stuff).

I was mostly inspired by Boticelli’s Primavera’s depiction of Hermes/Mercury; keeping the red but make it chiffon. The leaves in the trees become the appliqués, mixed in with leaf-like feathers and scattered throughout the chiton like the painting. And make it all good because he’s also a god of wealth.

I will be Hermes this Friday at @moiraesistersbooktique “Nightmare in the Underworld.” It’s a fantasy event in Orlando, inspired by Greek mythology. It’ll be really fun with lots of food, books, a cosplay contest (I’m one of the judges), and maybe we can help Orpheus & Eurydice get out. And everyone should come
👉🏼👈🏼Tickets are online!

For Sara, by Wirt featuring poetry and clarinet.
🍂
I forgot I have all of these clips of me as Wirt in New Hampshire and living a good chunk of my Over the Garden Wall dreams; the other chunks involves a forest and a quaint village.
Wearing this cosplay has always been kinda hot, except for when it’s freezing. But New England had that perfect autumn weather.
Makes me wanna make another Over the Garden Wall cosplay real bad 👀

Thank you @cassandracosplays for getting all of these clips of me in New Hampshire neighborhoods
