Cafe Deux in Harrison, New York! I loved how all of their syrups were house-made ☕️

I’ve had SO MANY incredible gluten free eats in Westchester as of late!! Exploring the areas around our new home one bite at a time 😋

⭐️ Lulu’s Kitchenette in Pleasantville has probably the best gf chicken sandwich I’ve ever had?? I got it with the gf bbq sauce and it was out of this world

⭐️ Lily’s in White Plains has a huge gluten free menu - I love their spicy burrata rigatoni but I bet it would be even better if your stomach can handle dairy!!

⭐️ Cheeky Eats made my dreams come true at the Tarrytown farmers market with their homemade strawberry gf cinnamon roll! They had several other gf treats that I can’t wait to try next time

⭐️ Countryside Kitchen can make all of their pancakes and sandwiches gluten free! Their pancakes are enormous and sandwiches are SO GOOD

⭐️ 3 Westerly Bar & Grill in Ossining has such a beautiful outdoor area & view!! They can sub gf tamari for their sushi & tuna tartare dishes!! The Wagyu sushi was a 10/10

⭐️ Red Hat on the River has such a beautiful view sitting right on the Hudson River and so many gluten free picks on the menu! I got the red quinoa burger!

⭐️ Cafe Deux in Harrison has TONS of incredible gf options and is so good for brunch too! The miso salmon & chicken masala were both a hit, but nothing tops their burger for me yet!!

⭐️ Half Moon in Dobbs Ferry is another place with an unreal view - you can even see the NYC skyline sitting outside 🫶🏻 the grilled corn & avocado salad with grilled shrimp was a perfect end of summer dish

☕️✨ @cafedeuxx ✌️ in Harrison, NY is such a cozy little spot!

Really good coffee, lovely breakfast, and a great option for lunch too. Everything we tried was delicious, but my personal specials were the avocado toast 🥑 and French toast 🍓 for breakfast, followed by their burgers 🍔 for lunch.

The perfect place for a relaxed breakfast, coffee catch-up, or casual lunch. Definitely a cozy spot I’ll be recommending! 💛

𝐁𝐫𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐡 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐛𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐠𝐞𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐛𝐲 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧, 𝐨𝐫 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐛𝐫𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐡 𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐛𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧.

Here are a few Westchester spots located near Metro-North stations, perfect for a weekend brunch or an easy meal before heading home:

• Bobo’s Cafe | 📍 1 Station Plz, Chappaqua
• Basso by PXK | 📍 11 King St, Chappaqua
• Café Deux | 📍307 Halstead Ave, Harrison
• Half Moon | 📍 1 High St, Dobbs Ferry
• Jay Street Bistro | 📍63 Katonah Ave, Katonah
• Modern on the Rails | 📍1 Station Plz, Mamaroneck
• The Central | 📍 300 Railroad Ave, Peekskill

And if I had to pick one? Bobo’s Cafe is one of my personal favorites. It’s right at the Chappaqua train station, making it an easy stop for coffee, breakfast, or brunch.

And one more Chappaqua spot to keep an eye out for: Mona’s Sandwich Co. is coming soon!

Save this list for your next weekend brunch and let me know which one you’d add! Which is your favorite spot I did not highlight?

10 of 10 in Harrison, NY!

Start your day off at @laughinghorsecoffee with top notch, coffee, and pastries. But the main thing is that this is @jalenbrunson1’s spot.

Next up is @casaditaliia , great hero spot and they heat it up reaaaal nice. Love the chicken parm here.

If you’re still hungry, hit up @eatnadas for the best tasting empanadas around.

Finally the move for dinner (but also, frankly, lunch and brunch too) is @cafedeuxx . Everything here is best in class, but the burger is probably their signature item. That said don’t skip out on black-and-white soufflé for dessert because it is outrageous.

That’s your 10/10 Harrison food day!

The Proposal:
I thank God everyday for blessing me with a partner who is loving, caring, and is patient with me.

They say opposite attracts. I smile because we are so perfect for each other. You have this spirit that’s so nurturing and caring. You’re amazing with the children. I am so grateful for that.

To my fiancée, I am looking forward to this journey of marriage. Until then, we’ll enjoy our engagement. Cheers to love! 🥂💕 Thank you @cafedeuxx for making this moment intimate and special. #fiance #blacklove #soontobewifey🤍💍💎 #godfirst 🙏🏾

On July 16th I attended a wine and cheese pairing dinner at @cafedeuxx in Harrison. It was magnificent.

It’s no surprise sisters Charlotte and Carrie Denoyer are thriving in this brutal business — it’s in their blood. Their father Jean has owned over 40 restaurants, mostly in NYC, and in his 80s is still running La Goulue, a thriving French spot in Palm Beach.

The “girls” also opened a high-end burger joint in Nolita last May that @timeoutnewyork named Best New Burger. @deuxluxeny

I’ve been a fan of Cafe Deux since day one — this side of Westchester needed somewhere pretty and charming but also cool, where the espresso was perfected by Charlotte with borderline-scary precision, and the soft scrambled eggs with gruyere are the best restaurant eggs I’ve ever had.

I’d only dined there once after dark, but this pairing dinner showed me the real range of their chef’s talent.

Loved the wine pairings. John Grammer of @skincontactwines is a true expert has a gift for describing wines. Jessica Galen of @bloomydobbs is the ultimate cheese monger.

I met Emily Winkowski back when she was serving tables — she used to remember exactly how I take my cortado - even after I had not visited in a while — so it thrilled me to see she’s since become manager. Carrie and Charlotte know how to nurture talent. And their chef, Alex Aparicio, a quiet genius who hates being out of the kitchen, has real range — a lot of us went silent over pillowy gnocchi in corn puree I’ll crave forever.

We are lucky to have Cafe Deux in Westchester! Follow Cafe Deux for future event announcements. 🥂
