Tb to a beautiful weekend in the garden 🌱✨ Our last Market Garden Workshop for Beginners was filled with curious minds, inspiring conversations, and a shared passion for growing food. One of our favorite things about these workshops is seeing the incredible diversity of people they bring together. Different backgrounds, experiences, and motivations—all connected by a desire to reconnect with the land and learn. A huge thank you to everyone who joined us, asked thoughtful questions, shared experiences, and made the weekend so special. 💚 We’re already looking forward to our next workshops in September. Until then, enjoy the rest of the summer, keep growing! Photos by @cafeherbst #marketgarden #marketgardening #regenerativeagriculture #smallscalefarming #marketgardenworkshop marketgardener

#windowlicker To Resist is also to not be afraid, some beautiful pics from @cafeherbst #edgarherbst Opening : Friday 24.07.2026 7pm Leda Bourgogne, Giovanni Casu, Mehdi Görbüz, Edgar Herbst, Alexander Hidalgo, Alexander Klaubert, Victoria Pidoust, Martin Eugen Raabenstein, Josefine Reisch, Lou Savoir curation @alexia_timmermans Kalckreuthstrasse 4 10777 Berlin There is a particular kind of looking reserved for shop windows. Schaufenster, in German, simply means “display window.” Yet no look is ever neutral. Designed to capture the passerby’s attention, the shop window transforms looking into desire, and desire into consumption. Set in the former hotel window on Kalkreuthstraße, in the heart of Berlin’s Nollendorfkiez, Windowlicker explores the space between public display and private projection. Bringing together ten artists, the exhibition considers how objects and images become carriers of fantasy, aspiration, sexuality, freedom, and belonging. Moving through questions of voyeurism, consumer fetishism, desire, and performed identity, the works invite us to reconsider the shop window not simply as a site of display, but as a surface onto which we project our own myths and desires . @ledabourgogne @giovanni_casu_studio @mehdi_gorbz @___a_h @alexander.klaubert @victoriapidust @raabenstein @horsefinewolf @cafeherbst @lousavoir

Every year, we’re blown away. So many people make their way to our farm—to see where their food comes from, to understand how we grow it, to ask questions, exchange ideas, and reconnect with the land. That’s what makes our Open Farm Day so special. We spent a beautiful day together with market garden tours, our Agroforestry Safari by tractor, countless conversations among vegetables, trees, and healthy soil. Conversations about autonomy. About food sovereignty. About thriving ecosystems, biodiversity, and resilient communities. About how agriculture isn’t just another industry—it’s one of the most powerful levers we have to shape the future. The way we grow food touches everything: our health, our climate, our water, our communities, and our freedom. More and more people are realizing that the choices they make every day matter. Every meal is a vote. Every purchase shapes the food system. The more we reconnect with the land, the more we reconnect with what truly sustains us. Thank you to everyone who came, listened, questioned, shared, and imagined a different future with us. Feed the soil. Starve the machine. 🌱 Special thanks to our wonderful team who put so much extra effort into making this happen and to Christian Braune for riding the big donkey with me;) and of course master Herbst for the pictures 🫶🏽

The 2026 team 🌱 Together with the first cohort of our Farm School’s full-year apprenticeship program: five curious, motivated, and joyful people who have joined us for a year of immersive learning in the craft of market gardening—and who, by the end of this season, will have taken a big step toward becoming skilled growers and farmers in their own right. As the garden becomes more lush and beautiful with each passing season, so too does the community that surrounds it. With this team, it feels like we are stepping into a new chapter together. For many years, we have carried the vision of creating meaningful pathways for young people to learn this craft and enter the world of regenerative human scale farming. This season, that vision is becoming reality. Together with our partner farms and the School Farm Network, initiated by the Market Garden Institute, we are helping build a new model for training the next generation of growers. Grateful to be growing alongside all these humans. Here’s to a season of abundance—in the garden and beyond. ❤️‍🔥 Thank you, @cafeherbst, for capturing these moments from our journey together.
