ENG:

More and more businesses across Berlin are saying no to being insured by companies complicit in genocide ❌

Across Berlin businesses are signing our declaration confirming they’ll divest from, or never insure with, Allianz.

The owner of @cafekotti did just that! 🔥 Cafe Kotti will never insure with Allianz!

Cafe Kotti is a Berlin institution, one that shows it stays true to the real meaning of solidarity & community.

Know some businesses in your area who would sign the declaration? Get in touch to receive a copy of our declaration!

back to Berlin daily 🌪️
Probably one of the most special spots in Berlin: @cafekotti , situated in Kreuzberg district. It emerged in the early 2000s amidst gentrification pressures and became a bastion of resistance against commercialization and displacement, fostering community solidarity. This hub for artists, activists, and locals provided a space for cultural events and discussions. The walls adorned with graffiti and artwork reflect the area's history and struggles. Despite challenges like rent hikes, it persevered as a symbol of resistance and resilience. The café evolved beyond a mere coffee shop, serving as a platform for political activism and art exhibitions. It remains a beloved institution, embodying the spirit of Kreuzberg's diverse community. Café Kotti continues to be a vital meeting point for meaningful dialogue in a rapidly changing urban landscape.
