We’d cancel our next leg just to stay here another day. 🌿🇱🇰

Ella, where the mountains are misty, the trains are iconic, and every turn looks like a postcard.

We spent a day exploring the best of Ella, and honestly, I could’ve stayed a few more.

Few tips if you’re planning Ella:
✨ Start early. Especially for Little Adam’s Peak. The views are worth catching before the crowds and heat kick in.
🚂 Don’t skip the Nine Arch Bridge. Time your visit around the train if you want to catch it passing through.
🍃 Wear comfortable shoes. There’s a LOT of walking, stairs and uneven paths.
💦 Keep some time for a waterfall stop. Ravana Falls was the perfect way to end the day. (In our case, begin the next leg of our journey)

Once, this van was probably full of people, laughter, and journeys toward the sea.
Now, it sits forgotten—its colors fading, its doors broken, and its wheels standing still.

But one message still survives:

“TODAY IS A GOOD DAY.”

Maybe that’s the story—time can destroy things, but it can’t erase the memories they carried.
