Birthday deadlifts because @caffeine_induced_rage said so! 😆 sped up for Instagram, but it took me just under 3 minutes!

This scared me a little, BUT, I can’t turn down a realistic fitness challenge! My man Junior has done this every year on his birthday (but with 315 because he’s an ANIMAL 😆) and I’m in from here on out.

It’s been a minute. Back felt good. Hips felt good. Hamstrings were SCREAMING 😆

34 years on this planet, and I’m determined to keep feeling younger, stronger, and more mobile with every year.

Thank you to everyone who’s taken the time to reach out and wish me a happy birthday. I’m really feeling all the love!

Full Workout Wednesday!
Back and bis edition. Bro split. One of my favorites.

This was post-vacation, high volume, calorie burn and pump focus. I never lift heavy after long travel days, because I want my immune system and joints to recover. Personal preference.

2 sets of warmups. 3 sets of most exercises with the exception of pull-downs and high rows. Did 4 of those.

Deadlifts Saturday 👊🏻
•••
Was scheduled to hit a 4x3 from anything from 415-455LBS today, but just wasn’t in the the correct groove today. Stayed at my bottom weight so I can move the weight more efficiently!📈📈
•••
Moral to the story... when it feels heavy or not right that day! Be smart and drop the weight. Poorly executed reps will not create a new PR! No ego.. with lifting! Listen to your body 💯

1st Rule of the gym is to work hard! No matter what your goal is you are gonna have to train hard... not just one day but each day! Step into the gym with a plan, set goals, come ready to work!
•••
Even if you are just trying to get “in shape” you will still have to increase intensity each session to get better! Don’t just be at the gym... be there to work and get better! 👊🏻👊🏻

Strength Phase - Is going pretty well so far! Figuring out things I need to work on more and things that just come to me naturally! Lots of learning to be done to get over 575LBS for my max! 📈
•••
5 rep days can be boring, but must change your perspective be ready to work to become better! 👊🏻

Plié Squats on the smith machine! 👀
•••
Leg day is one the best days, but I feel terrible during leg day... two days after leg day is also the worst lol! 😩
•••
I know all of this is necessary to reach my goals for the legs that I want! Everyday I work as hard as I can to bring weaknesses up! 📈

Body weight Sissy Squats! Set of 27, 18, 9!
Sunday I thought it would be a good idea to add sissy squats at the end of a total of 31 sets of legs! This is exactly what I am talking about when it comes to challenging yourself each day to become better!👊🏻 •••
Continue to grind today! ⏱
