My exhibition in Geneva is right on the lake shore — not in a gallery or a museum this time. Panels are about 2 meters tall, bilingual in French and English, one for each artist.

It’s part of “Arts, Minorities and Human Rights” — I’m the only one representing Myanmar, alongside 30 fellow artists from around the world, shown where everyone can see it, next to a beautiful lake of Geneva.

Most of my exhibitions were behind gallery doors, spaces people choose to walk into. This one is different — right there next to people swimming, sitting in the grass, living an ordinary day. It’s very real, and a new way of seeing art connect with the public.

I’m so happy to be part of this. My work, in the middle of someone’s daily life, not set apart from it.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the Award Ceremony and Opening of the 4th International Competition for Minority Artists on 26 November.

Your presence transformed the evening into a shared space of reflection, courage and connection.

Belonging, Place and Loss is a theme that touches all of us, and the voices of the eight artists reminded us how memory, exile and resilience can be shaped into something profoundly human. Their work invited us to see more clearly, feel more deeply and honour stories that are too often unheard.

We are grateful to each participant, partner and supporter who helped bring this event to life. Together, we celebrated not only the creative strength of minority artists, but also the ties that hold us together across borders, histories and identities.

Thank you for standing with us in recognising the beauty and power of art as a force for rights and change.
