BOTW 2026

This night marks the end of the best year of my life, I got to meet so many fun, amazing and incredible people through the college bands, as well as getting to play a great selection of tunes with them. I'm gonna miss my time with High Bounty and Delphi.

Can't wait to see what the future holds for me and all of my great friends, hopefully more uses for this firebird at uni...

(HUUUUGE THANK YOU TO @msummerfield_photography for all the photos and @a.brownovafilm for a few too!!!!)

LAST BACKWATER SHOW (for a good while)

July 15th, Grand Central's weekly open mic, 8pm. Free entry.

Read below:

Hi. Recently we've come to realise that travelling down to Liverpool for Primal Icons is a bit of a logistical nightmare. We thought we could sort this out a bit earlier and start rallying ticket sales, but as it is so close, we feel we are no longer able to participate.

Primal Icons would've been our last show for this season, and as much as we would've liked to go out with a bang, this is no longer financially possible.

HOWEVER..

As a thank you for those who have supported us throughout our time as a band, we felt we had to give back. We can't just cancel what would be our last show for months.

The only way we could think of is doing a free gig. And we had an idea. It's not a full gig, but we will be playing a few of your favourites at Grand Central's weekly open mic on July 15th, and we'd love for you guys to come down on what could be your last ever opportunity to see us.

If you didn't catch that, that is:

July 15th, Grand Central Alt Bar at 8pm. (Free entry)

Since this is an open mic, we will spend as long as we can chatting to each and every one of you that comes down. We still have a few stickers left to give out too :)

We sincerely hope that you're able to bring everyone you can to pack out this tiny venue for us. It would be the most heartwarming goodbye you could give us as we all go off to uni hundreds of miles away, even if the goodbye might not be forever.

We love you forever and can't wait to see your beautiful faces for the last time this Wednesday.

Backwater x

(p.s. if you've read this far, obligatory late Band on the Wall post coming soon. life has been crazy recently!)

WELCOME TO PRIMAL ICONS - JULY 18TH 2026! 🎙️ (READ BELOW)

Do you all remember when we braced the stage at Primal Live 2025? Well that wasn't the end of our story.

We would like to make the exciting and possibly BIGGEST announcement of our (almost) year and a half of existence... WE HAVE BEEN SELECTED FOR PRIMAL ICONS!

What is Primal Icons? The inquisitive bunch of you may be asking.. Primal Icons is a best of the best festival-like event where former finalists and winners from Primal Live shows across the country battle it out to compete for the ultimate crown.

Well put by @johnpaulmusicuk, a contestant-turned-mentor of Primal Live and well rounded cool guy (not biased), this is such a full circle moment for all of us and it would be really epic if anyone who had the time and funds to do so could come down and support us in the far away land of Liverpool. We would really appreciate a translator too..

Thank you so much to @primallive for inviting us back and giving us another chance to prove ourselves.

Tickets on sale NOW at the link in bio.
Don't forget to say you're supporting us when purchasing!
