Have you heard of the funeral theory?

I read it once and it’s lived rent-free in my mind ever since...

A funeral director once told me-At the average funeral, only ten people cry, Ten. That’s it.

You spend your whole life pushing, striving, breaking your heart open for people, holding it all together... and in the end, only ten people are emotionally impacted enough to cry.

And it gets worse.

The number one factor that decides how many people go on to your burial? The weather. If it’s raining, half won’t bother.

That mind screwed me when I first read it. But it also freed me.

A funeral director once told me If so few people will care that deeply at the end, why are we so obsessed with what everyone thinks while we’re living?

Why do we build lives around keeping others comfortable - when they wouldn’t even bring an umbrella to our burial?

This is your reminder:
You are allowed to want more.
You are allowed to do what makes you happy.
You are allowed to build a life that pays you and fulfilled. AND YOU SHOULD.
You don’t have to be the person who sticks to the plan out of guilt or fear.
You’re allowed to pivot.

Shake it up. Change the story.
Nobody is getting out of here alive anyway.

I train so I can lead.
I move so I can serve.

At 51, this is bigger than fitness—it’s faith, stewardship, and legacy.

“Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit… Therefore honor God with your bodies.” — (1 Corinthians 6:19–20)

God blessed me with a daughter who’s willing to rise early and chase greatness. 5:30am and grateful.

She thinks we’re just working out… but we’re building discipline, courage, and a bond she’ll carry for life.

I’m a businessman today because sports shaped my character yesterday.

Discipline. Hard work. Leadership. Responsibility.

But the mission isn’t profit — it’s purpose.

It’s about following God’s plan and building pathways for our keiki. ❤️🏈

51. Body aches more.

Recovery takes longer. Life hits harder.

But this weight room?

It’s where I heal — physically, mentally, spiritually.

Keep showing up. Keep building. Keep honoring the gift.

The conversations you entertain shape the life you live.

Choose rooms that challenge your thinking, not ones that gossip.

Talk vision, not people.

That’s how you rise mentally, spiritually, and financially. 💯🔥
