Sometimes all it takes to get your mind to slow down, is to take a deep dive into your past.

It may not even be that long ago, but if you look hard enough, I’m sure you’ll remember moments that felt like they were timeless.

Last summer was that to me.

The first summer in a place I think I’ll call home for a long time.

Spent with friends, some new, some old,

and a lover that sets my soul on fire.

In the overgrown grass after that long, hot day, we found a sense of freedom no place apart from nature can provide.

Sharing laughs and hugs, in the open air of a field as the birds shared their song.

As cliche as it sounds, I realise more and more that we aren’t fully aware of good old days until they are memories.

My ask is that you make the memory bank a rich one.

Because in my opinion, memories are the currency that trumps all.

A currency with no inflation.

The only exchange rate is simply being present.

This investment pays dividends every time you look back on times of joy.

Here’s to the never ending summer.

To a life full of that feeling of abundance and freedom we felt that warm February afternoon.

Unil the end of our short time here.
