This year the Lake Minnewashta Water Ski Club became an official nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing our community together through free water ski shows, youth lessons, and unforgettable traditions on Lake Minnewashta.

Whether you’re 5 or 55, it’s never too late to get on the water. This season saw so many new skiers, including the “mom squad”—a group of ski moms inspired by watching their kids gain new skills and confidence on the water over the summer. They decided they wanted to try new things too! (the kids were pretty proud of their grownups 🙌)

This year, for the first time ever, the LMSC is putting on two free ski shows this summer. You can catch the final show over Labor Day Weekend on Sunday, September 6th at 9am.

Bring a lawn chair or blanket and join us for coffee and donuts and support the next generation of water skiers.

Free for all to attend. Any donations made to LMSC are tax deductible and go toward equipment, boat maintenance, youth ski lessons, safety gear and fuel for practices and performances.

Show Viewing Location: 3421 Shore Dr. Excelsior, MN

Mornings like today remind us why this lake is so special. 550 neighbors, friends and family lined the shore and the water to enjoy the Lake Minnewashta 4th of July water ski show.

Thank you to everyone who came out, cheered loudly and supported the Lake Minnewashta Water Ski Club. What a great show!

Thank you @skycandystudios for capturing it from above and @belu.photography for capturing it from the water.

A fun night out for Owen & mom packing for @harvest_pack supporting our local food shelf.

It isn't just about helping others.. but also working as a team, sharpening our communication skills (teaching Owen to speak up, speak clearly & directly), spending time together, and encouraging others around us! 🤍

Today, we celebrate you, not just for your birthday, but for the beautiful person you are. Your ability to embrace every version of me, my light and my shadows, means more than words can express. You have a rare gift for seeing the best in others, and your kindness and strength inspire everyone around you.

I truly hope that in every lifetime, we find each other again. Happy Birthday & love you forever @caitfader

Holy shit.

2025 was a really cool year.

It may have technically been the year of the snake, but I’ve watched enough monarch caterpillars turn into butterflies to know that 2025 wasn’t just a year of growth for me. It was a metamorphosis.

And watching this video feels like watching one of my butterflies fly for the first time and knowing they made it through the hard part.

This year taught me things I couldn’t have learned any other way..

Force ≠ momentum. Things move when they’re aligned, not when you push them.

Happiness can be a baseline, not a reaction.

Community isn’t automatic, it’s built by showing up as yourself.. consistently.

Sensitivity can be a strength, not a liability.

Change doesn’t feel dramatic while it’s happening.

Living in alignment with yourself matters more than approval.

Discomfort can become an ally when you stop avoiding it.

Life will bring you opportunities, but you have to be willing to give them a chance.

Hiding who you are doesn’t increase acceptance, it postpones belonging.

Your nervous system knows way before your thoughts catch up.

A year ago, I sat under a table at midnight on NYE, eating 12 grapes, hoping the universe would send me a boyfriend.
Because.. who doesn’t wish for that?

I didn’t say it out loud, but what I was really asking for was proof that I could be chosen and loved without always having to fight for it.

The relationship I’ve been building became secure..
not with another person, but with me.

And that changed everything.

Soo.. no, I didn’t stumble upon a boyfriend this year.

But love did show up.
Just not in the form I expected.

And honestly?

I want nothing more than to see other people find themselves too.. to feel loved, supported and brave enough to go after what they want because there’s room for all of us to become someone really cool, exactly as we are.

I’m soooo grateful for the past 12 months and even more excited for every little thing that gets to grow from 2025 into 2026. 🫶🏼

One of my favorite days of 2025.

This year, we donated all of our coats from our Oktoberfest coat drive to @kindenergy__ . Being able to volunteer along some incredible people and seeing the direct impact on these families was unmatched.

*reminder that we are always collecting winter gear at the Fader Household & promise to get it into the right hands*

Never miss out on a chance to spread kindness, make someone's day, or feed someone who is hungry!

we were able to help prepare, organize, pack and help deliver 324 Thanksgiving meals 🤍🦃

@brittanyvoth is a literal queen and started this during covid out of her house and I had the absolute pleasure of working alongside her this year.

Onwards + upwards ... 500 next year?

Truly one for the books. MEA weekend filled with helicopter rides, petting zoos, donuts, mahjong, swimming, bonfires, and the most beautiful fall colors. The kind of memories that fill your cup and leave you overflowing with gratitude.
