A little red for the mahjong moment. ❤️

There’s a reason the “Unexpected Red Theory” took off—the idea that adding even the smallest touch of red can make a space feel more interesting, intentional, and alive.

Sometimes it’s not about matching. It’s about adding just enough tension to make the whole room click.

Love hearing about how this family uses this game room, right off the living room. Some can play while others relax nearby 🥰

This room was a dream to design. I’m not sure which angle I like the best. Each view was thoughtfully considered with this client who I have to thank again for trusting me with bringing the modern touches to this 1803 beauty. The goal for this room was to be a touch more formal without being stuffy - we wanted comforting, welcoming layers - not a room where the kids aren’t allowed to play. I can’t wait to see this room all dressed up for Christmas with a glowing fire - ultimate nostalgia and comfort.

The vision for this space was simple: create a room that felt true to this 1803 home while giving this modern family a place to slow down. It wasn’t going to be a typical sunroom, but more of a “garden room” we liked to call it. A room to have your very early morning coffee before the three girls are up, evening cocktail with the hubby. To read a book. To catch up with a friend. To feel connected to the beautiful gardens just outside.

We mixed vintage finds (the table is early 1900s from England) with new pieces, creating a space that feels collected over time rather than decorated all at once. It honors the history of the home while supporting the way this family lives today. Because the best homes don’t just look beautiful….they tell your story.

Grateful, inspired, proud. Photoshoots are really the culmination of hard work, fostering client relationships and trust, pushing yourself to every edge of your creative mind and many lists of many many details. Behind the scenes from yesterday and can’t wait to show the final edits. Thanks to everyone that helped make this happen 💕💕💕 especially my amazing client @chitch86 🙏🏻

Hoping your weekend is whatever you want it to be, especially if you’re a mother figure or someone who has lost one (sometimes both).

From beginning to end, this project was an absolute gem. I feel so lucky to have worked with a wonderful builder, talented designers, and the greatest clients to bring it to life. Thank you so much to @nehomemagazine for featuring this special pool house in your May/June issue, and for Kathryn O'Shea Evans's thoughtful article about the work. Thank you also to @marnielysekatz for your expert placement, and to @larakimmerer for your always beautiful photography. I'm so happy to see this magical project in the sunlight.
