Photo dump of personal stuff.

1. Sketching a Mormon temple and couldn’t get the song “Turn it off” from the Book of Mormon out of my head for days.
2. There was only one employee at the coffee shop and she was super slammed. I told her I was in no rush so she could make my drink last and she gave me a 32oz instead of a medium with like 4-6 shots in it that I barely could finish because I probably would have exploded but the coffee was so damn good. I bought stickers too and she only charged me for one and then also she posed me with a scone for I guess just having empathy unlike some other rude guests. Thanks, you made my day after a long day on the road.
3. Using my new sketchbook finally from @acaballz
4. The mosaic at the cafe
5. The 32oz instead question
6. While it started out as a joke after seeing the flier, the museum was on our way so we stopped anyway. It was actually adorable.
7. This guy.
8. Gary the greeter donkey
9. Me if I was enlisted
10. Interesting history of the democratic symbol
11. Outfit check
12. My hot friends
13. I should frame this
14. This one too
15. I died and went to heaven
16. This garden had so many butterflies and caterpillars it was like a scavenger hunt
17. The plane ride back was rough
18. Home

Thanks, besties! We ❤️ our dedicated volunteers and we couldn’t run @thenelahub without you. Sign up for a couple shifts and help us keep providing a free, curated shopping experience through June. Check your local mom Facebook group or ask a volunteer pal for the link.

Peek into our “NO” bin! We are grateful for all the amazing donations we get at @thenelahub. Everyone has been so generous. But sometimes we get items we can’t use: broken, stained, ripped, worn things that we don’t want to pass on to fire victims. That’s why our volunteers spend long hours sorting clothes and home goods, so we have a curated selection. Altadena residents have been through enough, they don’t need to pick through stained undies! (Unpaid volunteers do that instead 😆) So please, only donate your very best items, it will save us precious volunteer hours. Thank you, friends! #nela #altadena #thenelahub #volunteering #donations #nothanks #justtobeclearweloverollerblades

2024!

All of my friends keep writing these thoughtful posts and sending beautiful holiday cards where they summed up their year perfectly. I wanted to write something since 2024 was absolutely bananas. There were things that wrecked me (Bea passed away! I had a concussion that put me out of work for 6 weeks! The people that I love most went through unthinkable losses!) but there was also so much love and so many good things. I traveled so much! I fell in love with the most amazing human! I did fun things with my pals! I spent quality time with my family! I worked really hard and realized that I could do really big things! I toured Walt Disney’s house! I had a spiritual moment with horses on a reservation! I saw an eclipse and drove (was a passenger princess) through several states to do it! Social media puts a rose filter (sometimes literally) on people’s lives because they tend to only show you the positive things that they feel are worth mentioning. In this little box, I’ll be real and say big things have happened this year that really made me take stock in what’s important and gave me a major reality check (those are good for you). Just remember that you can do anything that you want. Literally nobody is stopping you. Get Goldie Hawn’s haircut and take a lot of pictures (and let people take yours!) and drink way too much iced coffee and talk to strangers!

I love you, happy new year friend. I hope 2025 is good to you (and we can go get lunch)! ✨

Last weekend I was honored to attend the amazing marriage of two amazing friends. @colerothacker and @katgoestoshows . I sadly didnt get any photos with them, but I had such an awesome time with so many lovely friends. I hope Cole and Kat spend a happy, long, joyfilled life together and I look forward to seeing how they and their relationship grow more and more beautiful.
