The video doesn’t even do it justice… @gfest.con is way more packed than it’s ever been! There’s a rumor going around that it even sold out yesterday! 🤯 My Dad @victor4632436 and I have been going since 2011 and it’s so nice to have seen this legendary convention grow and grow and grow! 🥲

For those of you that don’t know already G-Fest (Godzilla Festival) is a convention that celebrates all things related to giant monsters and robots. Godzilla, Gamera, dinosaurs, franchises involving giant robots like Power Rangers and Gundam, and even plenty of monsters of horror are celebrated like the universal monsters. There’s a giant dealers room to buy merchandise, movie theater, artist alley, costume parade, areas to meet celebrities/crew from the above franchises, and even food trucks now. All of this at the @hyattchicago in @illinois ! 🦖🧛🏻‍♂️🤓👹🦕

With all of that said I need to point something out…
The number one shirt I kept seeing people wear was the @famousmonsters shirt depicting @godzilla_toho and @gamera_the_turtle about to duke it out. The shirt, art, and magazine obviously sells like hot cakes and has been for a while now. The fans obviously want this crossover and no matter how you look at it there is bank to be made here but Toho and @daiei_giken (sorry if I tagged the wrong page) just refuse to make this epic confrontation come to fruition. The two most famous giant monsters ever created (besides King Kong of course) and this hasn’t happened once?! The fans have wanted this for about 60 years! There is no better time to do it than now. 🦖🆚🐢

April 16th, 2011-June 15th, 2024

This is the most difficult status I’ve ever had to post so please bare with me. Our baby girl peacefully crossed the Rainbow Bridge at about 10:45am yesterday and it was the most difficult decision we ever had to make. Unfortunately she was suffering from neuropathy, muscle deterioration, a mass on her lymph node, a heart murmur (just like me!), and had been a diabetic since the age of 6 which was finally catching up with her. We had the fortune of spending one last week with her so that friends and family could say goodbye. She was so loved and touched so many lives. We adopted her at the age of 3 from the Humane Society where they told us she was found on the streets as people were throwing rocks at her. Sonja and I felt that she started out her life very rough so we wanted her to go out peacefully and with dignity. The hurt can’t even be described in us. We’ve had her almost our entire relationship and now we feel like a huge piece of us is missing. If you have any photos and videos of Arwen please comment them below, message or text them to us, email them to us, and/or spam my wall with them. Gone but never forgotten we love you so damn much. Please forgive us and please don’t forget us. Thank you for 10+ beautiful years. 🥺
