Recognizing situations and people that have enriched your life whether personally or professionally is not only a gesture of gratitude but a realization that one’s growth comes from more than one source.
I have enjoyed meeting so many of you virtually! Doing LIVE NONTRADITIONAL RN/NP interviews have taught me a great deal! Hearing your Nursing journeys 1:1 and as you shared them with so many others in hopes to inspire them to pursue their passion in Nursing however that may look for them.
Having the confidence and courage to believe in themselves and perhaps a idea to step outside of a box so many in Nursing have set as a “standard”.

All of our journeys are different and not one I have heard as not come with its own set of challenges.
However, what they all have in common is a Nurse. A Nurse with their own personal situations that they may the decision to do what would be best for themselves, their families and those patients they serve.
So for this, I am thankful. Thankful for inspiring others in the Nursing community. When you are surrounded by positivity coupled with productivity the only direction is up.

Have a safe and Happy Thanksgiving! Please remember those who may struggle this holiday season for whatever reason, as I am thinking of them too! ❤️

Keep going and never give up on your goals 🙌🏻

Great repost from @caitwinmary

Would you believe me if I told you I failed out of nursing school the first time?
There was a lot of being young, dumb, and immature. After that I basically went home with my tail in between my legs. Of course there were the voices of “maybe it’s just not for you” or “maybe you should pick an easier major”. I could of listened but I didn’t…I knew this is what I wanted. I picked myself up and signed up for community college. I got my grades up and applied to nursing school again and guess what? I got in. Six years later, an RN to BSN in progress, 3 board certifications, many other courses, classes, and training….here I am 🚁. KNOW YOUR WHY. I wanted to prove I could do hard things even when I had more people against me than with me. And even now six years later I’ve got a new goal insight…

Thanks for giving us a glimpse into your office, @caitwinmary!

(REPOST) SWIPE to step into my office.
#hems….. there are days you’ve literally kicked my a$$ sideways. But I think the biggest thing I can take away from my time in the sky: you learn when to step up and be a leader and you learn when to step back and be a learner.

✨HUMILITY

You will never know everything- but isn’t that something to push for? Learn more. Do more. Get better for your patients. And if someone can teach you something new that you didn’t know, well hell bring it on. Learn something new everyday and stay teachable.

Reposting this great advice from @caitwinmary

Something I’ve learned recently and am currently trying to overcome....YOU can be your own worst enemy.
▫️YOU’RE not smart enough
▫️YOUR’RE not good enough
▫️YOUR’RE too old to start now
▫️YOU’RE thinking too big

🌟CHANGE YOUR MINDSET

YOU can do hard things. Push yourself to accomplish those unattainable goals you’ve built up in your mind. DREAM big and smash those accomplishments. Because guess what? YOU are staring down your biggest competition. Prove everyone wrong, including yourself and attain the unattainable!!!
