“I guess that would be our first
camping night. I couldn't sleep at all with all the terrifying thoughts in my mind, thinking about the worst that could happen, haha! But the next morning turned out fine which proved that I was over-thinking.”

@dickchua of @caizicamp shares his unforgettable camping experience and how he and his family got into camping.

[THE CAMP THINGS] Vol.10
Conversation with @caizicamp

Q1. Who (introduce yourself)
My name is Dick Chua and I have 2 kids. I grew up by the beach so I hope my kids can grow up under the sun too. I hope they will appreciate the nature but not cellphone.

Q2. What (is your 3 fav camp gears)
- Lights. I love taking pictures, so lighting is important.
- Chair. I am obsessed with chair design, and always amazed by how camping chairs are designed to save space and weight.
- Cooler box. I can’t live without ice water.

Q3. When (when start camping)
Year 2016. We started with picnics, bringing the kids close to nature. The kids didn’t want to go back so we had the idea of staying overnight.

Q4. Why (why love camping)
To breath fresh air, to stay away from traffic jam.
I love the feeling of getting sweat/wet without the worry of clean it off.
I love the time spending with my family and friend within that small home base that we build.

Q5. Where (is your fav camp spot)
- Janda baik
- Hulu Langat
- Wished to go Cameron one day.

Stand up, lie down, hang out. We think a tent should be much more than just something to sleep in. @caizicamp and family definitely know this to be true.

ALSO – our tent release for August is happening this coming Wednesday, August 10 at 1:00 PM (MDT). This month we’ll have all of our tent models represented 👍👍.

Camping doesn’t mean you have to neglect on good food. Here’s some simple recipe you can cook for your next camping event.

Let’s Have a nice bowl of Soba noodle with Coleman

•6 slices ginger (lightly smashed) and 1 tea spoon finely grated
•2 scallions
• salt and pepper
•1 cup sugar snap peas
•3 carrots
•9.5 ounce soba noodles
•4 ounces sliced shiitake mushrooms
•1/4 soy sauce
•2 tea spoon fresh lemon juice

Directions:
1. Prepare a saucepan and put in chicken, broth, sliced ginger, scallion, 3/4 teaspoon salt, pepper. Cover and simmer over medium-high heat for 8 minutes. Uncover and gently simmer until chicken is cooked (5-10minutes)
2. Trim the snap peas + peel carrots then sliced both thinly.
3. Add soba to boiling water and cook as the label directs. Drain and rinse under warm water, then shake off the water.
4.remove the chicken to shred on a plate. Discard ginger, scallions from broth and skim off the foams. Return shredded chicken to broth and add mushroom and carrots to cook until the vegetable are tender (3minutes). Stir the soy sauce and lemon juice, season with salt and pepper.

Coleman outdoor grills are everything that you need for grilling. When the fun is done, the removable charcoal tray makes clean up easy, and you can head off to your next impromptu grill party.
