Hear Our Voices Book Tour Stop: The Fire Serpent Legacy by Cindy L Rodriguez 🔥🐍

Part Brazilian folklore, part ecological warning, the Fire Serpent Legacy is a page-turning middle-grade adventure rich in cultural details. This thought provoking novel shines a spotlight on the ongoing and potentially catastrophic deforestation of the Amazonian rainforest and its wide reaching impact upon us all.

With the mythical Boitatá, 🔥 🐍legendary protector of the forest, as the basis of the story the author has woven a tale of courage, family legacy, cultural heritage, and the consequences of greed. Written for a middle-grade audience this book is perfect for classroom discussions and would be a valuable addition to home libraries as well.

❓️ Did you know it’s estimated that between 17 and 20 percent of the Amazon has been destroyed over the past fifty years? Scientists warn that the world’s largest rain forest is approaching a critical tipping point past which there could be severe, irreversible consequences for the planet.

Thank you to @hearourvoicestours author @cindylrodrigues71 and @harperkids for the #giftedbook which is headed to our Little Free Library!

Get to Know the Author Behind HER SHARP EMBRACE 🔪

I am OVERJOYED that my debut is releasing during Pride Month! I can’t wait for y’all to meet my villainess girl gang on June 9th, but first, an introduction for my new followers.

👋🏻 My name is Kate, and I am a queer author writing stories featuring complicated, messy queer women. I love reading stories centered on women and queer characters, especially those that let women be ambitious, flawed, and angry.

When I’m not writing, you’ll usually find me rescuing stray cats, playing video games, and plotting my next morally gray female protagonist.

I’d love to get to know you too! Tell me your favorite queer book, favorite femme fatale, or just say hi in the comments.

Introducing my cast of femme fatales—The Nightshades!

Music is integral to my writing process. When I started writing HER SHARP EMBRACE, I created playlists for each character to help me get into their unique point of view. These insta playlists are just a taste ! Which Nightshade playlist are you jamming out to? I’m partial to Theo’s!

Huge thanks to the INCREDIBLE @mmarsloud for their artwork! They really captured the vibe of each member.

Stay tuned, readers…we have something exciting planned with these illustrations coming soon!
