Axel & Pete didn’t just plan a Yosemite elopement. They planned a whole trip around it. They brought their guests along for the adventure, with activities, brunch, dinner, and more!

On the elopement morning, we started at Glacier Point for their first look and portraits before making our way to Cathedral Beach for their ceremony. After exchanging rings and celebrating with their closest people, everyone gathered for a picnic catered by @cakewalkyosemite by the river.

I love when couples think beyond just the ceremony and make their elopement into an experience for the people they love, too. It gave everyone a chance to spend more time together and made the whole trip feel like something worth celebrating!

After taking it all in and a mid-day dress change, we hiked to see fall colors, ending the day dancing in the alpenglow of Half Dome!

A huge thank you to Jennifer at Cakewalk Bakery in Yosemite for bringing so much of our wedding day to life. From the food, to the flowers, to the entire setup, every little detail felt thoughtful, beautiful, and completely us. You helped turn a quiet lunch in the forest into something that felt like a dream, and we’ll forever be grateful for the care you poured into our day. 🌲🖤🥂

There was something so special about gathering around one long table beneath the trees, surrounded by the people closest to us. No ballroom, no grand production, just good food, wildflowers, candlelight, laughter, mountain air, and the kind of beauty you could never recreate inside four walls.

And somewhere between the towering trees and the mountains above us, we began forever.
We joined our hands where the tall trees stand,
with sunlight falling soft across the land.
The mountains watched, the forest knew,
that on that day, I chose you.
No walls around us, no ceiling above,
only endless sky and a promise of love.

After “I Do” — (2/2)

This was the part we’d spent a year imagining.

For the better part of a year, every conversation somehow found its way back to the wedding. Florals, seating charts, signage, playlists, welcome bags—you name it, I probably had a sketch in my journal for it.

Every weird little idea that started as a note in my phone somehow became a real thing. The photo wall. The sticker machine. The trail signs. The flowers. The tiny details that occupied far too much space in my brain.

With a lot of dreaming, and the help of some incredibly talented people, it all came to life.

Then Yosemite decided to show off.

Golden light filtered through the pines, dinner stretched late into the evening, and the dance floor stayed full all night.

Did we blow the breaker three times because the party was so lit? Yes.

Did our group absolutely demolish 60 servings of tavern tater tots after multiple people told me, “Sierra, nobody needs that many tater tots”? Also yes.

It felt like summer camp, a family reunion, and the best party we’ve ever been to all at once.

If I could bottle up a feeling and keep it forever, it would be this one.

Nothing compares to the adrenaline of seeing your future spouse for the first time, at the break of dawn, and watch the sun pop out behind El Capitan hitting all of Yosemite Valley all within a couple of minutes! J&K had such a fun day planned, focused on a relaxed vibe, but also full of beautiful details that complemented who they are. Just them, a few guests, and Yosemite’s gorgeous landscape.
