POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

A bit from yesterday because it was SOLID! 😎

We spent the afternoon on the Elkhorn River learning what airboat life is all about — riding from sandbar to sandbar and stopping to make kebabs over the fire for lunch.

I loved watching the water as the boat glided across it — looked like glass. You know me and the water, I could watch it forever.

And then The Boys of Oklahoma Tour last night, story time —

I’ve talked about going to see Turnpike with Cal for years, and I’ve also talked about going with Lilly for years.

Well, in true Virgo form, Cal kept it on her radar and got her and me tickets earlier this year.

So when we got there, I messaged Lilly thinking she would probably be there too.

She wasn’t!

But that was all it took because the next message I got, she was on her way 😂

And every single performer was SO damn good. I was grateful to enjoy it with both of them. ⚡️

Anyways, yesterday was full in all the best ways.

What a pickle you put yourself in — what’s been going on in my neck of the woods! Xo

One week out from our wedding reception, and our home still feels like it’s holding the afterglow. I don’t have many photos from setup, but I think these capture the heart of it.

We’ve spent the past week mostly horizontal on the couch, enjoying leftover sweets 😂 — sharing memories and small details that drop us right back into the day. When Matt and I envisioned this, we wanted a space that reflected the life we’ve been shaping here: grounded, welcoming, and secure. A place that invited people to slow down, settle in, and truly connect.

Some of my favorite moments were catching up with friends and family, neighbors stopping by, kids rolling down the hill or running in a pack across the yard. A few little girls ran up to hug me, telling me how beautiful I was (life through the eyes of a four-year-old 💕). Watching people settle into the sitting spaces we created, wrapped in blankets as the night cooled — and the music offering its own ambiance.

Every layer of care brought it to life — lights strung, furniture lent, food tended, flowers arranged, books and bottles tucked into corners, pumpkins and mums anchoring it all in rich autumn color. I guess you could say it was truly alchemical.

Thank you to everyone who helped weave the night together — and to everyone who came to celebrate “Our Special Knight”. It was a true treat to host.

xo,
Alex

The women wanted to celebrate, so we spent the night @junkstock . 🍂 Funnel cake, a large lemonade, thrifting treasures, and finally a quilt sweatshirt I’ve been wishing for 🧡 We even picked up homemade marshmallows for the wedding s’mores bar — Butterbeer + classic.

@cal.ray26 even brought her truck, just in case we found something big while thrifting — and of course, we did. 😉

It’s little moments like this that make me grateful — and even more ready to celebrate together next week. ✨
