“The Frat Supper”

Little blurb for those who want to know:

My first time being social at a fraternity, meeting everyone. Overwhelming, frenzying, tense… Yet, I was simultaneously marveling at everyone. Each brother is highly individual and charismatic, but even as very separate individuals, they make up this bonded community—their brotherhood. They share a common fraternity language, something I felt very new to. Regardless, I felt welcome. The brothers subverted my biases about frat boy tropes. They are all intelligent and inquisitive people, and I wanted to really humanize them in my painting. Here, I have created a highly contemporary “last supper” or rather the “Frat Supper.” A fun play on a classical painting, with motifs all around. I hope you enjoy looking at this painting and taking the time to absorb it all:) 🍾🍻
