To the other 74 students, National FFA Staff, and each Industry Professional I met, thank you. You will never know the impact you made on me from just our 4 days together. Each person I sat with and talked to taught me something new, and I will be forever grateful for that. To Joe, Ashli, and Celia, your selflessness and dedication to this organization is truly inspiring. You never thought twice when making decisions and always had the conferences’ best interest in mind. To Aubrey, your decision to apply for the Next Gen Facilitator was probably the best decision you could have ever made, not for yourself, but for every kid’s lives you changed this week. You made every sacrifice to be there worth it. To my community group, I ment what I said the last day about you being the best group of people I have ever been a part of. Your combined support made the group stronger than we could ever be on our own. From the Gen Alpha and Disney Adult skits, to the wave, to OH BOY, you helped me remember what an FFA family can feel like! Thank you everyone!

“Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened.” ❤️

I don’t think we ever realize how quickly a moment is passing while we’re living it. We laugh, we make memories, we stay up too late talking, we make inside jokes that probably won’t make sense to anyone else, and somehow, before we know it, it’s time to say goodbye.

It’s hard to put into words what these friendships and memories mean to me. Some of you were strangers when this began, and now you’re people I’ll never forget. We may be heading home and going our separate ways, but that doesn’t erase everything we shared. The conversations, the laughter, the challenges, the ridiculous moments, the serious ones, and all the little moments in between will always be a part of my story.

I wish we could freeze time just for a little while longer. But maybe that’s what makes moments like these so special. They weren’t meant to last forever. They were meant to be lived, remembered, and carried with us into whatever comes next.

So instead of being sad that this chapter is ending, I’m choosing to be grateful that I got to live it at all. Grateful for every person I met, every friendship I made, every lesson I learned, and every memory I get to take home with me.

Life is going to take all of us in different directions. Years from now, we may look back at these days and wonder how time went by so quickly. But I hope when we do, we smile. I hope we remember the people we were, the people we became, and the friendships that made this chapter worth writing.

Thank you for being a part of my story. Thank you for making these days something I’ll never forget.

This isn’t goodbye forever. It’s just goodbye for now.

Until we meet again. ❤️

@ameliamorris88 and I had the wonderful opportunity to attend the NextGen Animal Science Conference in Kansas City, Missouri! During our time here, we got to participate in team-building activities, work on interview skills, and learn about important industry skills that will benefit us in whatever career we choose to pursue. We also got to tour incredible facilities, including the American Royal Association, Cargill, and Smithfield Foods.

I am so incredibly grateful for the people I got to meet, the staff who made this experience possible, Ms. Templeton for bringing us, and most of all, the memories and experiences I’ll be bringing home with me.

Huge thank you to @nationalffa for giving passionate students like myself this opportunity! 🤍

1000 Words,

They say a picture is worth a thousand words. However, these are worth so much more. Countless tears (happy and sad), memories, laughter, and conversations. Small town South Carolina Jabe never thought he’d see D.C., Let alone step foot on capitol ground, but this week was a blessing.

It was life changing to hear hundreds of perspectives from not just all over the country but the world as well. How much of a blessing is it that we have a voice, one to be shared and recognized.

This week taught me countless things, but here’s 3 big ones.
1. All it takes is one word to make an impact
2. Life is too beautiful to be wasted on only seeing the pain.
3. No matter how hard of a time we’re going through, God can still use us to change someone’s life.

South Carolina FFA, I challenge you to have a Thousand words, be the impact, make the change!

1,434 days ago I walked into my first agriculture class terrified of standing out.
1,165 days ago I put on my first blue jacket thinking it was stiff and refusing to wear a skirt.
17 days ago I took off my blue jacket for the last time, wishing I had just one more day.

South Carolina FFA, I will never take for granted the impact you’ve had on my life. You changed me in ways I never could have imagined and gave me experiences, friendships, and opportunities that shaped the person I am today.

To our 14,000 incredible members, thank you for believing in me, encouraging me, welcoming me, and teaching me lessons I will carry with me forever. Take every opportunity FFA gives you because you truly never know who you’ll meet, whose life you’ll impact, or where those opportunities might lead.

To my team, Thomas (Tina), Brooklyn, Anabelle, Kaitlyn, and Kayci, thank you for always being there. Whether I needed someone to cry with, laugh with, distract me, teach me a line dance, help me learn a speech, go on a random drive, or simply listen, you never hesitated. I will forever cherish the memories we made this year and I am so thankful for each of you. I can’t wait to see where life takes us next.

To the new team, Jabe, Savannah, Lily, Thomas, Brooklyn, and Cale, this year is going to fly by, so be present for every moment. Say yes to the adventures, embrace every challenge, and never underestimate the impact you can have.

As I close this chapter, I leave with more than memories. I leave with lifelong friendships, countless lessons, and a heart that is forever changed because of this organization.

Thank you, South Carolina FFA, for giving me a place to grow, to serve, and to give back to the organization who shaped me into the person I am today. The jacket may come off, but everything it gave me will stay with me forever.
