Sometimes the weekends that don’t go according to plan end up being the ones you remember most. 🥹 We headed to Boone to spend the weekend with my boy and catch some App State football. Instead we got torrential rain, multiple game delays and never even made it into the stadium. 😂🌧️ But our Mountaineers still got the W! 🖤💛 We got time with my boy, my mom, Hal + friends, and one of the sweetest surprises was FINALLY getting to hug a special friend after EIGHT years of internet friendship. ❤️ Eight years of talking, sharing life and feeling like I’ve known her forever, yet we had never actually been in the same room. That hug was a long time coming! 🥹🫶🏼 My heart was full. Just missing my girl back in Tiger Town. 🧡💜 Rain and all, what a special weekend. ❤️

These last two days have been ALL the emotions. ❤️ College move-in for our last kiddo, the beginning of our empty nester era AND my husband’s birthday, which happened to fall right on move-in day this year. 🥹 And in true fashion, he spent his birthday doing what he always does, putting everyone else first. Driving, hauling, building, hanging, fixing and somehow making it all come together. Our move-in MVP and the most selfless, hardworking man. We are so grateful for you @moretzcharles on your birthday and every day! ❤️ Then came the drive home with one less kid and an empty room waiting for us. That part hit harder than I expected. 😭 It’s such a bittersweet season. My mama heart hurts knowing this chapter is closing, but I’m SO excited for everything ahead for him. His dad and I have poured everything we could into preparing him for this moment, and now we get to watch him fly. Turns out you can be incredibly proud, grateful, excited AND heartbroken all at the same time. ❤️🥹 Here’s to our birthday MVP, our last college kiddo and learning to embrace this next chapter. ❤️

Today, I watched my son—my kind, steady, old soul with the biggest heart—choose to be baptized and publicly declare his faith in Jesus. ❤️ I talk often about gratitude… about the joy I find in sport, in discipline, in pushing myself and chasing goals. But today was a powerful reminder that those things, as meaningful as they are, are not where the deepest joy lives. The deepest joy is found in faith. In family. In moments like this. He has always been different in the most beautiful way. Thoughtful. Grounded. Full of quiet strength and compassion for others. The kind of person who doesn’t need to be the loudest in the room to be the strongest presence in it. And today, he made the most important decision of his life—not because he was told to, but because he believes it. Because it is truly in his heart. As a parent, there is nothing greater than witnessing your child choose this path. To see the seeds of faith take root and grow into something that is fully their own. To know that no matter where life takes him, he is grounded in something bigger, something eternal.🙏🏽 We can celebrate wins, milestones, finish lines… but this is the one that matters most. This is the one that lasts. Our family has always been built on faith, love, and showing up for one another—and today felt like such a powerful reflection of that foundation. A reminder of God’s goodness, His timing, and His presence in our lives. I am so overwhelmed with gratitude. I am so incredibly proud. And I am in awe of the man you are becoming. We will always stand beside you, pray for you, and walk this journey of faith together. 💙 So grateful for this church, for his circle of friends, and for sharing this day with family and friends. Today is a day I will carry in my heart forever. I could not be more proud of this amazing young man who I have gotten to witness the past few years strive to live his life in a godly way. Spring break in Cancun 🇲🇽 just hits different when you know big changes are around the corner. Somehow we blinked and these boys are weeks away from caps🎓, gowns👨🏻‍🎓, and college move-ins. 🥹 Sun, boat/pool days, late dinners, nonstop laughs, and making the kind of memories you wish you could bottle up forever.🥰 We soaked up every second…while still negotiating curfews at an all-inclusive like we were the FBI 🥴😂 because apparently that job doesn’t end at 18 lol🥴👮🏻‍♀️ Mamacita kept us fully entertained (per usual 💃😂)… and at some point grasshoppers showed up on the table and a few brave souls actually tried them…🦗🙋🏻‍♀️ Still confused how they tasted like smoked almonds tho?? 😅 This season is wild…one foot in “please slow down” and the other in “I’m so proud of who you’re becoming.” Holding on tight while learning to let go just a little! ❤️

18 years of raising this guy…and what a ride it’s been! From baseball ⚾️ fields and dusty cleats, to broken bones that kept the orthopedic doctors on speed dial, to the DIY haircuts that definitely didn’t come from a professional. 😅 You’ve always done life full speed ahead, competitive, determined, and somehow always able to sniff out the dessert 🧁 table wherever we go.😂 Watching you grow into the young man you are today has been one of the greatest privileges of my life. I’m so proud of the heart you have and the man you’re becoming. Happy 18th birthday 🎉, bud! Love you more than you’ll ever know! ❤️⚾️🍪
