Athlete Spotlight! My guy Caleb is one of, if not the, hardest workers I have the pleasure of coaching. We started working together about a year ago, and now Caleb is getting ready to start his freshman year of high school. Caleb is an extremely twitchy athlete who plays outfield and pitches. Our focus has been working on displaying that explosiveness in his game, whether it be hitting, pitching, or throwing from the outfield. In the video, you’ll see Caleb throwing pulldowns, which have been a staple in our program since we started working together. His initial pulldown velocity was 72 MPH, and he has since increased that by 11 MPH to 83 MPH. (I unfortunately don’t have the video of the 83.) We are just getting started, kid. Keep working! 👊🏻
