Told the run club it’s impossible to squat with one arm up. They all proved me wrong. 🤣 #runner #houston #runclub #chevronhoustonmarathon

Ran the Toughest 10K Kemah this morning to close out a really great week of training 🙌

43:03 chip time
3rd female overall
70 miles for the week, hit 2000+ miles for the year this week and finally back on a great sleep schedule 👏

Huge congrats to everyone who ran or raced today! We had over 40 runners from @lifetime.baybrook.runclub and everyone did amazing!!! So proud of our team and everyone else for showing up and killing it- we run this bridge weekly so it definitely paid off today! Always a challenge climbing the Kemah bridge- especially in the heat but it pays off to do the hard things 💪 Thank you @3brosrunning for a fun morning and great race!

Excited for fall race season, doing a lot of my normal local races this year and then a few new ones that have been on my running bucket list for a while! 🤩 Will be running most of them at workout effort and then racing one or two. Hoping to keep stacking miles and fitness as the weather cools down and we head towards some bigger goals 🎯

What a great morning seeing SO MANY FRIENDS RUNNING!!! Congrats to everyone that conquered the Kemah 10k and a special shout out to the crew that made it all happen. If you’ve never had the opportunity to volunteer for a race, 10/10 recommend it. I missed racing this morning, but was way more excited to get to see everyone giving it their best. Thank you @3brosrunning for a great run! Cant wait for the next one!

I started this year with one big goal: run 365 days in a row. I am 232 days in.

And for a lot of those days, it was just me.

Somewhere along the way, I started showing up to run clubs. Then I kept showing up. Then I started one. And now there are almost no days I have to run alone unless I choose to.

What I didn’t expect was how much the running community would show up for me in ways they probably don’t even realize.

Last year, during one of the hardest transitions of my life, I remember asking God, “What did I do to deserve this?”

Yesterday, during Rock Bottom RC first real long run together (impromptu btw), I caught myself asking the exact same question.

What did I do to deserve this? 🥹🫶

Funny how the same words can mean something completely different a year later.

14.51 miles down this week! 2 more weeks until @chevronhoustonmarathon training begins! The first 5 miles was a physical challenge then @gilliamdaniel mentioned something like it may be hard but you should still have Joy. That was God reminding me I do not have to wake up at 4:30am to run, I get to wake up at 4:30am for a run!

Peace out ✌️July! Hello August! Such a great month! 277 miles, 3 races and so many great memories with my family, friends and run club! Definitely one for the books! July restored my faith in what is possible after being knocked down- gradually building back with a 25min 5k, then a 20min 5K and overall win, to ending the month with my strongest 20 miler in a long time. Lots of early mornings, sweaty miles and stacking little wins along the way. July was so fun & filled with so much joy. Thanking God for all the memories and people that made the days so incredibly special 🫶

Excited for August and the opportunity to explore places I’ve never been before in Australia and run the @sydney_marathon for @projectpurple 🤩 It’s also my birthday month and my kids will be back at the same school this year, both in middle school 🥹 Going to soak in the last few weeks of summer and Sydney marathon training and see what this next month has in store.
