the kindest people and the hardest goodbyes.

in just a week, all of these people have turned from complete strangers to family. i’ll take the lessons i’ve learned, the memories we’ve made, and the love, acceptance, and vulnerability i’ve experienced back home. i hope all of my orange torches see this, i love you guys more than the world. 🧡 may we never forget this week, and take lessons back home so we can be the leaders of tomorrow.

to all my new friends, i love you guys. camp is truly such a freeing space and i’m glad our paths crossed. i’ll cherish all the funny moments, dancing, barraga, and so much more. please keep in touch!

where to even start- my love letter to level 1, this camp has literally changed my entire perspective on life. @veronica_roni28 you were the best JC ever i’m genuinely so glad i got to meet you and grow with you. thank you to my council, you all inspired me so so much and i am so happy i got to learn and grow with you guys. i love you all so much. 🤍

and to BoD, you guys are so kind and welcoming, i came in not knowing any of you, and left loving everybody :) i’m so excited to work with you all throughout the year and get even closer, im glad i got to experience camp with all of you, it wouldn’t have been the same without you guys, i love you all! thank you masc/mahs and thank you to all the staff who made camp as great as it was. see you next year!! ☀️

This week I have learned so much about what it takes to be a leader. Which is what is expected from leadership camp, but what they don’t tell you is all the amazing people you will meet. The amazing memories you will make. And the support you will receive from everyone. This camp wasn’t just about learning to become a leader. It was learning about myself and what power I hold. How I can impact others and how to let others in. And most important of all making friends that will last me a lifetime! I love you all more than words can explain!
