The best team this side of the universe!

The 2020 season has finally finished. And as this day was filled with many tears and many goodbyes, it is always great to reflect on the great season I have had. I have worked with an incredible team at Raptor, with great Leadership partners, great In-Charges, great Full-timers, and associates. They showed me what it was like to work with a team for a common goal. They also showed me just how close a crew can get. Gatekeeper crew has shown me how amazing it is to go back to your roots, and enjoy a few days away from your contracted ride. But for me, Ocean Motion crew was the one that left the biggest impact for me. Getting to work with them weekly, I got close to many people. I learned how to operate two flat rides which are completely different for me. I learned how to give the best day experience to a whole new demographic of riders. I also got a chance to learn from a great TL at that ride, learning how it would be running a crew. I would not change anything about this year. I am so happy to call Cedar Point my home. To my 3 ride locations this season, rest easy. And I will be seeing you all next year as we celebrate Cedar Points 150th Anniversary. “Raptor, this is Brett”, signing off.

Meet the Raptor crew 2020! I have been so lucky to be able to work this season with such an amazing crew. This season has really taught me how much I love working in this profession, day in and day out. Working side-by-side with such a great leadership team, I have learned so much about the fine details of running rollercoasters and being in the tourism field. I would not trade it for anything! But for now, I must return back to Kent State. I will never forget my summer “like no other” (literally). 🎢💚

That's all. I thought I would cry, but no. It’s strange, but I'm smiling. I am just very happy to be part of the Raptor crew. Thank you America for these people! You’re amazing! Thanks everyone for all the help and kindness. You are forever in my heart and memory❤️. I started to miss you.

Junior year was fun while it lasted :) Unfortunately, I will not be finishing it out by studying abroad, but it was really fun while it was still in person. I had the honor of being @tpegum’s president and winning a few awards at RITDC down at @universalorlando 🎢. And I had a fun first year in @umschoolofinformation! I also officially declared a dual degree with German 〽️🇩🇪 and finished the year off strong, despite the move to online classes. I’m looking forward to all this crazy stuff being over and to a lit senior year with the friends I’ve made during my time at Michigan 💙💛 #GoBlue

One of my favorite memories from 2019 was attending the Ryerson Invitational Thrill Design Competition with my @tpegum family 💛💙 Joining TPEG is by far the best decision I’ve made at UM so far and I’m so excited to attend RITDC again next year 🎢

Caleb is our 2019 Project Lead! He is pursuing a computer programming degree at Michigan and has been working at Cedar Point this summer. We know he has been doing a great job, because he was promoted to a team leader position at the Skyride! It is going to be great to have such an awesome leader help us spearhead projects as we approach the fall semester. Keep an eye out as Caleb helps us plan our 2019 haunted house! 🎃🎢🎡🎠
