📍Base of Minyon Falls, Nightcap National Park

This was cold 🥶 but with a 100m drop, Minyon Falls might be one of the most epic swimming spots I’ve ever been to!

Despite being around 23 degrees at the top, in the shadow of this valley and with the wind generated by the cascade the crisp mountain water was a shock to the system.

Usually you have about 60 seconds to decide if you’re going in, before you convince yourself it’s a bad idea.

I got in and everyone followed - that’s my kind of hiking crew!

Would you dive in here? 🧊

The hike is a short 4km return on well defined but rocky paths - you can extend to an 8-10km hike by continuing to Minyon Grasses.

The Warrie Circuit in Springbrook National Park just outside of Gold Coast is one for the memory books - it felt like the stuff of legends with the amount of waterfalls, cloudy rainforest and fallen trees which we had to climb over!

This weather is good preparation for my upcoming long distance hike and I will likely spend a lot of time in similar weather.

Lessons learned: pack spare clothes and something to unlatch the leeches 🧛

Is this type 1 or type 2 fun? I can’t quite tell!

January 2025: What a start to a year 🤯

📅1st week: Star gazing, vet visit, bestie came home from Nebraska
.
📅2nd week: Pajama party, host a friend because of a fire, friend visiting from Australia, candlelight concert
.
📅3rd week: Bar with besties, bedridden
.
📅4th week: See my HS friends get married, made a new bestie, consistent dog graduations, won a prize from work for top sales, get surgery
.
📅5th week: Abundance of food and love from friends and family, pain in dogs seminar, lunar new year with Korean family through video, find out I'm cancer free, another vet visit
.
.
January was definitely eventful. A month where anything could happen and everything happened. It felt so long and I hope February will ease up on the craziness as I continue to recover from surgery.

Ok, brainstorm: What’s a job I can do where I could spend half of every year in Hawaii and half in Australia, and still interact with people every day? and..... go!

Anyone else had a moment this week where they asked AI to come up with something and realised the world has changed?

Highlight for me on our Noosa trip 🐬

@calebisms and I went out on the water and spotted a small pod of dolphins.

One in particular seems pretty interested in us and spent some time swimming under and around us, checking us out

Props to Caleb for managing to keep the camera on them to as long as he did 👏🏼 👏🏼 👏🏼
