Another incredible summer in the pines!!!

Serving others and serving God is the greatest privilege we can receive in life and service to God through his children is an honor far greater than I deserve. I am thankful for the lessons I learned, the fun I had, the people I met, and the love I got to share among the staff and the kids that came through the gates of camp. The kids I met this summer were pure examples of God’s goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and love. They taught me more than I thought I could ever learn from a child, but by them I was reminded of the simplicity of the Gospel and how good and sweet it truly is while being the deepest, most important thing we know. The LOVE and the JOY of the Lord has been incredibly evident to me this summer and I am so grateful to have been blessed with the opportunity to serve another summer at cdr!

Living a holy life is as simple as loving God and loving his people.
This place was once new to me and as it becomes old I am reminded that our Father has paid for our eternity.
I have learned God’s character in this place and I have learned to love his people, for obedience to him is contained in our renewed and deepened abilities to worship, serve, fellowship, forgive and love.

As I close my time as a Deer Run staff member I find joy knowing that in our blood bought eternity there is endless grace, joy, and no tears. For those who belong to Christ there is no goodbye for we are raised with he who sits at the right hand of the Father.

Therefore we praise God from whom all such blessings flow.

Thank you Jesus, thank you Deer Run.
