We’re still buzzing from last weeks’s panel on ‘Community and Career Development in a Hybrid World’ kindly hosted by Framestore New York! 🗽

Huge thanks to our brilliant moderator Anne Trotman for steering such an honest, thoughtful conversation, and to our fantastic panelists:

📍 @caleemari (Diane Lee) Motion Designer at @hellohornet
📍 @melissa.g.garcia (Melissa García La Fontaine) Head of Operations at @framestore
📍 Jon Burke, Animation Supervisor at Framestore
📍 @tiaperks (Tia Perkins) Exec Director and Head of Production at @untold_studios

And always, a huge thank you to our @accessvfx USA leads @kruffa and @cgulacsy for their tireless efforts in making these moments happen.

What stood out? A shared recognition that community doesn’t just happen anymore; it has to be designed, nurtured, and protected, especially in hybrid environments. There was also a refreshing honesty about the challenges, from maintaining culture across time zones to ensuring inclusion doesn’t quietly slip backwards when teams are distributed.

But the energy in the room was clear: our industry wants to get this right.

Massive thanks to everyone who joined, contributed, and shared their perspectives. These are the conversations that move us forward.

We’re really excited to share that our film for the 24 Hour Animation Challenge was ranked ⭐️2nd⭐️ out of 555 teams around the world!

🗣️ The prompt was to make a 30 second animation giving our vision for the future with AI as a friend or a foe and show how our world might fail or benefit from its evolution.

😎 Our team’s philosophy and name was inspired by king Julien’s famous words, ‘I like to move it move it’ - we indeed love to move keyframes and pretty designs!

✨ Our film will also be shown at the Animation is Film Festival, which is super exciting!

🍀 Thank you to @24hourscontest for hosting this amazing contest and the incredible faculty at @ringlingcollegemotiondesign for supporting us throughout the process.
