🐟 Last chance to see Steelhead by @bryantedrickart on Big Art Loop!

The sculpture has been sold (yay 🎉) and will be deinstalled next week; heading to its new home at @kennethcarlestate in Healdsburg, California.

We love seeing public art find new audiences, new homes, and bring new opportunities for artists to create.

Take some time this weekend to explore the Loop and give Steelhead a proper send off!

The thing I miss the most about my home on playa, is the constant immersion in my community. Waking up with neighbors that I love, right outside my trailer door, the expansion I feel through connecting others and solving problems together, the constant banter and action plans streaming right into my ear from the radio, in real time…

I know I’m a genuine person, but we all have masks we must put on- whether it’s for work, parenting, school. But here, I get to be 100% me 100% of the time- and then witness everyone else do the same, and validate who I am, in my rawest form.

We’re thrilled to officially welcome Marine Layer by Miki Iwasaki to Big Art Loop. 🌊

Set across from Metson Lake in Golden Gate Park, this corten steel sculpture captures the shifting atmosphere around it. Its perforated surface filters sky, water, and passing light, allowing the landscape to become part of the work.

As the light, wind, and water change, so does the sculpture, inviting viewers to slow down and notice the subtle transitions happening all around us.

Tag us when you experience it, and follow @bigartloop to stay updated on what’s coming next!

Louis is the kind of artwork that rewards a closer look. Created by @dewittgodfreystudio and installed at Bayfront Park, this striking sculpture reveals something new from every angle—and yes, you can even step inside.

Part of the Big Art Loop’s growing collection of public art along the San Francisco waterfront, Louis invites you to experience sculpture from the inside out.

Have you stepped inside it yet? Sundays are made for leisurely strolls. Enjoy the ~2mi waterfront walk with Instagrammable moments along the way.

A bunch of kids who *sort of* grew up.

This is who makes public art a reality.

And then there were… 10! 🥳 (swipe through to meet the team!👉)

We started with a simple vision: two women with a shared passion for getting more art into the world. That spark has grown into a team of ten makers, dreamers, and problem-solvers. Each person brings a unique perspective, deep curiosity, and relentless drive to transform big ideas into real-world impact.
💕
From epic installations to community-centered creative experiences, nothing we build happens in isolation. Alongside our core team, we’re grateful every day for the dozens of artists, engineers, fabricators, architects, installation and building crews who bring their talent, care, and collaboration to our projects. Their partnership is woven into everything we do.
🙏
We’re humbled by the momentum Building 180 has built, and more inspired than ever by the community that shows up with us, every step of the way.
