God is great.

Jesus Christ changed my life in all of the best ways. He has given me the greatest sense of purpose & peace in my life.

I’ve come to know my savior more personally, & as I have, I have learned to love myself, others, & him more profoundly.

He saw the worst versions of me & still loved me enough to die for me. He is my greatest advocate, comforter, & most importantly, my best friend 💛

All because two people fell in love 39 years ago…♥️

So lucky to have married into such a beautiful family that also entrusted me to take the newest set of family photos!

Throwback to retreat #2 this past October ❤️

To every single woman who said yes to me and Jess and yes to yourself this weekend… you expanded my heart. You helped me grow. You helped me love deeper. Your stories, your strength and resilience. The way you have carried yourself through such hard experiences. Your hearts have forever changed me for the better. I could write a post for every single one of you. Thank you ❤️❤️ I love you. Xo

Awakened Mother Inner child retreat October 2022. We do this two times a year & the next one will be in April. Say “retreat” and I’ll send you the waitlist to be on. ❤️🦋

As hard as it was through all of this, I chose me.

Ironically enough I had already paid for the @rising.motherhood retreat weeks before my Dad’s accident and it was exactly what I needed after it happened.

When I picked up my kids Thursday to take them to my mom’s I knew I didn’t have the mental or emotional capacity to be around them at that time. So, I dropped them off and went and spent the night before the retreat with Dustin.

I was able to hide in a room and cry + let it be ok. Sometimes when life knocks us down, we just need a minute before we get back up.

As I drove to the retreat the next day, I almost turned around. I didn’t feel like I wanted to be around a room full of complete strangers or get out of my comfy zone.

I’m so glad I didn’t. It was the perfect space that I needed during this time in my life.

There were so many tears and so many empowering moments through it all and I couldn’t be more grateful how it all fell into place.

I felt zero guilt this weekend which isn’t typical for me. Every now and then it creeps in when I’m not with my kids, but I’m so grateful that I was able to give myself the time + space I needed.

When we were together again, I had the opportunity to process and grieve the way I needed so they weren’t taking the brunt of my emotions.

Mama, I just want to let you know that it’s ok if you need a minute for yourself so that you too can fill your cup up in the way you need to take care of you.

If you are going through a hard time drop a ❤️ below.

It’s a lot and we aren’t meant to walk the journey alone.

First we learn about the nervous system and expanding our window of tolerance. And then we put our bodies into fight or flight and breathe through it.

This practice strengthens our vagal tone and helps us with other triggers outside of a cold plunge.

Some of these women dreaded this cold plunge. Why the heck would I jump in a freezing lake. One women said she almost didn’t sign up for the retreat because of the cold plunge. 😂😂

That same woman stayed in the 49 degree water for four minutes. That same woman was a badass! And she felt it!!!

When you come to our retreat you do not have to do the cold plunge. But I promise you will feel like a total baddie if you do! 🥶🙏🏼🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌
