“ But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint “. Isaiah 40:31 ❤️

From Brooklyn to a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration & Criminal Justice—this journey has been anything but easy. Since Pre-K, my name has been attached to greatness. I would be told that I am one of the smartest, most articulate, respectful, and kind young ladies they had met. As a Leo, you can imagine that I took great pride in this (no pun intended😂) and I had always held myself to the highest of standards. But as we all know, life is unpredictable and the oh so sweet Symphony was about to go through her inevitable experiences that would lead us here today. Two weeks before high school, my dad was sentenced to 10 years in prison. That moment changed everything—my confidence, my trust, my relationships, and most importantly, my sense of self. Fathers, be your daughter’s first love and she’ll never settle for anything less.” – Unknown.
Somehow making it enough I attempted to start my freshman year at SUNY Oneonta ❤️where I spent a rough 14 days of quarantined college life before a mass outbreak sent us home again. The campus was in shambles delivering “GO HOME” messages through groupchats. Eventually they tried to resume for spring semester and I went back in January only to start working, never allowed to attend in-person courses.. staring at a laptop trying to make new college connections while we were all going crazy. I pushed through depression, heartbreak, missed milestones, and a pandemic that took away my senior year. I tried college, left, built a new life working side-by-side with my supermom, then found myself called back. Introduced to Hartwick by a client turned family, what started as a random suggestion turned into acceptance, enrollment, and a whole new chapter. The last time I had pulled out of Oneonta I said out loud that I would never come back. But they always say if you want to make God laugh, make your own plan.
