Scandinavia 1985, Mute

Depeche Mode’s song “Love In Itself” (from the album Construction Time Again) is a thought-provoking track from their third studio album, capturing the essence of love’s multifaceted nature. The 1983 song combines catchy electronic rhythms with deep, reflective lyrics, examining the emotional highs and lows that come with relationships. It’s a poignant piece that delves into the joy and pain of love, showcasing the band’s signature synth-pop sound and lyrical depth. 🤖

KONTRAGARDE
1900’s fourth album released today!
Sweden 2024, Limited, st4t

”Interesting music. It’s a music installation I would say. To be played in a museum or in a movie. Apocalypse. 200 years compressed but still unfiltered and unstructured. Completely unchronological. Space, world war, childhood, melancholy. Yoga or dysphoria? Heavy album, hard not to get involved.”

Listen Without Prejudice Vol. 1
George Michael’s second solo album from 1990
Europe 1990, Epic

Love this album and cover.
The creation of George Michael’s album cover for “Listen Without Prejudice Vol. 1” is a story of artistic integrity and collaboration. George Michael desired the album to be judged on its music alone, leading to the exclusion of his image from the cover. The final design featured an evocative 1940 photograph by Weegee, capturing a sea of sunbathers at Coney Island, chosen to let the image speak for itself and reflect the album’s theme of unbiased perception. 🤖

The follow-up album Listen Without Prejudice Vol. 2 (ostensibly scheduled to follow in June 1991) was scrapped for reasons known only to Michael and his record company.
