POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Somebody you may know is on their honeymoon in Greece. We are so happy for them. Amber’s pastor father flew in from Tennessee to officiate. Beautiful day for a beautiful couple, surrounded by family, friends and colleagues.

If you think you have seen these garments before, you have. Amber showed their bridal collection on PFI’s July Gala runway — All except Cali’s wedding dress. And they did it while teaching costume design classes at PFI and showing at Rose City Comic-Con. We’re exhausted just thinking about it.

Congratulations to the happy couple 💒

I made two shirt designs from this lesbian flag plaid from @millendstorepdx and we wore them to try out @dojateas summer menu at their PDX location. What a wonderful experience! Delicious meal, and we look forward to trying the autumn menu next month. #pdx #dojateas #dojateasbestdressed2026

What a beautiful evening we had on Saturday! This was my first bridal collection, and it includes pieces from my upcoming nuptials in October.
I'll go through piece by piece over the next few days, but for now, here is a slideshow of the 6 looks I put together for the Gala.

It's always a joy to work with fine fabrics. Nothing beats silk in my opinion, both in texture and visual. The rose dress caught the light perfectly, and really displayed the gorgeous beading that @callicake_cosplay worked into it. Can't wait to marry her in a few months 💚 She also designed the silk nightwear. I'd love for us to do a collection together in the future.

photo rights and my personal thanks to @portlandfashioninstitute
and infinite gratitude to @portlandfashionsupply @millendstorepdx and @guildworkspdx for their help with fabric, notions, and dye

I cannot believe my brother, found family, and best friends set up this whole graduation party for me. I felt so loved. Everyone who came were part a of my journey through school, and I cannot thank yall enough. (If anyone has more photos pls send em my way!)

To Amber and Calli, the cake was so special, thoughtful, and delicious. Thank you so much for it!! And for the gifts. Yall know me so well.. I felt so seen and loved.

Tricia, hosting this at your home was so generous of you, and taking care of the set up to tearing down, to prepping days before. You're one of the most generous people I know and I am so thankful to have you in my life.

Valkyrie and Joseph, cooking all day to surprise me with my favorite food, which was DELICIOUS. I almost cried eating it yall it was so perfect. Im so happy you guys were there, cuz ur my favorite people to be with.

Sarah. Setting up the funeral roast, cracking me up, bringing drinks and games. Truly a host at heart and a ray of sunshine. I cannot believe you wrote me a song, it was beautiful, and I am crying even remembering it. I felt ur love!

And finally, big brother Adrian. Your attention to detail and surprise after surprise was insane. I see all the hard work you did, and I feel your love even if you won't say it lol. I loved all my animated men throughout the home. My personal Haku to hang out with while you worked. Thank you. For everything.

#SustainableDesign rocks! Here’s the last piece of the runway from PFI’s #TheSewOff #Upcycling Fashion Show

What helpful tips did we get about using #deadstock & fabric scraps?
— Patchwork them to make larger fabric pieces, e.g the pants from @yell.mfg
— Strip them to make a new textile, e.g. the “coverup” @keonahajje
— Rethink your design, e.g. not enough for a full dress? How about an overlay @lisa.kipp1
— Mix and match your fabrics, e.g., like almost everyone in the show. The results? Interesting, fun and wearable garments from what could have been waste.

Need ideas? Here are some classes coming up in April that would put you on the runway
— Liza Rietz, Innovative Design on Wednesdays
— Trish Langman, Sustainable Design on Tuesdays

If we learned anything from the show, we learned this: We are the creatives! We are in control! Together, we can change the world — or at least our corner of it! 🌎

Thanks and love to all who came, showed & supported. ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
