“Howdy Charley! You look like you could ride for The Pony Express!”

That’s the start of a random dm I received about three and a half months ago inquiring whether or not I would like to submit an audition for a new musical premiering this summer. I am very grateful I said yes.

Doing this show brought back a strong passion for performing that I’ve lost a little bit over the last two years of somewhat-monotonous BFA training. It was a well-timed reminder to me that the reason we do all the work that we do as actors to prepare is so that once you get in the room you can forget about all those technicalities and just tell the damn story.

So thank you @the_sally_lama and @shayansobhian for the opportunity, and I can’t wait to see what the future has in store for The Pony Express!

“I used to muck stalls all day…”🤠✉️🎵

Getting to be a part of an original musical has been an exciting, somewhat intimidating, but most of all extremely fun journey. It was an honor to bring this material to life and to present this version of Charlie Cliff to an audience for the very first time. A huge thank you to @shayansobhian and @the_sally_lama for the opportunity to join the pony legacy and for trusting me with this beautiful show they’ve created.
