Human physiology students at their summer internships ☀️🧬🦆

An internship program in @uocas provides internship opportunities for human physiology students thanks to support from an anonymous donor. The program was developed by Amy Sibul, internships and career readiness director for the program, and has provided stipends for over 60 unpaid human physiology undergraduate student internships.

“It [the internship program] allows students who wouldn’t be able to spend those 40 hours a week this summer in an unpaid position engage in these really great human physiology-related experiential learning opportunities and pay their rent,” Sibul says.

Swipe to see some of the students participating in internships this summer:
📸 1: Jaime Santos and Alan Trihn, interning with the Exercise Oncology lab at the Knight Cancer Institute.

📸 3: Kayla Smith, interning with Biomotum Inc., an exoskeleton robotics biotech startup in Portland.
📸 4: Faith Froehlich interning with Saavsus, a Eugene-based firm that developed an app to help teachers lead more engaging and healthy physical education classes.
