POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

My first art showcase in Houston happened this weekend with @pinklomein_ of @themeinlo art collective! 🎨

I have followed her since I began painting in 2017, so this was a full circle moment 🫶🏼

It’s an exciting season for me 🥂 to more collabs & art moments.

Shout out to all the artists that were apart

Continuing our #WomensHistoryMonth celebration with one of our featured artists Nikita Vonee of @calmingcanvas!!

Nikita, a Kansas City native, is a self-taught visual artist and published author that enjoys writing and painting ethnic art that reflects who she is as a Black woman. Her words and art embody femininity, grace, vibrancy and a unique abstract perspective. Outside of being a business owner, she is also a mother, writer, Registered Nurse, mental health advocate, and a classically trained singer. She began painting as a therapeutic outlet for creative expression, and later coined the name “Calming Canvas” for her art business. Being an advocate for mental wellness, she was passionate about providing a space for people to come and relax, tap into their inner artist and have fun!

Calming Canvas is now hosting private print parties and events for the metro KC area. You may check out their event schedule and book your paint experience by visiting calmingcanvas.com. You can also find some of her artwork (what’s left of it!) for sale on our walls at Bliss.
