Wrapped up my almost endless month at @headlandsarts (thanks for letting me extend... and extend... and extend).
Spaces like Headlands are few and far between, they give delicious food and space and time and kinship and late night karaoke and espressos and biscottis and dance parties and moon hikes and so much goodness, and ask for nothing in return.
I finished a draft, I mapped plot holes, I met with my writing groups, I reminded myself of what it is I need to feel like a smart, creative person (spoiler alert, it's more than just school drop offs and convos about potty training).
So long @headlandsarts, sorry I wrecked your walls. The bluetac refused to come off.

#Enliven is delighted to welcome @eirinieeee to our constellation🤩 Eirinie is an award-winning Black British writer living in California. She writes about sexual taboos, death and dying, illegal substances, hauntings both real and imagined, and ancestral inheritance in a world desperate to sever the connections between what came before and what is to come. Her work has appeared in LitHub, the Notre Dame Review, Electric Literature, the Sonora Review, the Los Angeles Review, The Unibrow, and other venues. Her first work of fiction, the maternal gothic novel Bloodfire, Baby (Dutton, 2026), has been named one of the year’s best debuts by Debutiful. Eirinie’s first book, the memoir The Dead Are Gods (Melville House, 2023), was critically acclaimed in Oprah Daily, Nylon, Shondaland, and the Washington Post, and was named one of the year’s best books by Kirkus Reviews. She is now proudly represented by Enliven’s own @calvertmorgan . Welcome aboard, Eirinie ⚡️💫✨
