Our first memory of @marquette.basketball is of Ms. Barb and @akellaher. Literally. As they were the first I connected with 14 years ago this month at MU Basketball Camp check-in. Her presence was always felt and the level of excellence she brought is unmatched. What stood out the most was her love of family, and that she extended to us. Every summer from 2012 until COVID broke our streak @jerem1ahjohnson was in The Al if not for all 3 sessions; a minimum of 2. I always looked forward to Championship Fridays and that infectious smile was endearing. Ms. Barb always was about her business, and brought order and excellence to everything. That was our point of intersection, but she always found a way every summer and throughout the season to corner me and say, “What are you doing for fun? You have to lighten up!” I still don’t have a good answer but I plan to channel my inner @barbarakellaher and figure it out! It’s becuase of Ms. Barb that #weare 💙🦅💛
