🤍 Black and white moments from last year’s festival 🤍 The smiles, the softness in a gesture, the weight of trust in a shared lean, a quiet holding. We’re already dreaming of the moments that will unfold this year, in movement, in stillness, and in all the shades in between. Present. Curious. Together. Portugal Contact Festival is a gathering of dancers, movers, and community lovers in the south of Portugal. Some have been practicing Contact Improvisation for decades. Others are just discovering it for the first times. Some come with backround in other forms of dance, others with curiosity and hunger for learning new, and some just follow a feeling. And somehow, when we meet on the dancefloor, through weight, breath, timing, and touch, something real and interesting happens. We move, we listen, and we learn from each other. 💍 Our dream wedding - 2024 I remember hearing so many people say that their wedding day was one of the best days of their lives. I finally understand why. Our wedding was truly one of the most beautiful days of my life. Till today, I hold close to my heart the moment we exchanged vows, the overwhelming joy I felt, and the love that surrounded us from every direction. As cliché as it might sound, it felt like being in a fairytale. Looking around and seeing all the faces of the people who love us, support us, and have been part of our journey made me realize just how lucky we are. We are endlessly grateful to every single soul who was there and helped make this dream come true. Today, as we share this video, we are no longer in Bali, and perhaps the hardest part is not having all these incredible people physically close to us. But the memories, the love, and the feeling of that day remain with us wherever we are. For the first time, I painted professionally on framed canvas (so far had painted loose canvas or drums), and for the first time, I had to travel before completing the series. Unframing the works and carrying them with me, trusting that I will return to them soon, feels both tender and deeply inspiring. This pause is not an interruption but part of the transformation. Ideas are already unfolding and i am starting sketches for the next piece. This body of work revolves around alchemy, not only as ancient practice, but as metaphor. Through symbology, I explore storytelling as a vessel for the different rites of passage we move through in life. Each piece represents a stage of transmutation. If you’ve been anywhere near a digital device in recent years, you might have noticed the latest trend of our current era: Artificial Intelligence. It’s everywhere, from your Google searches to your Spotify playlists. New Agers now channel Lemurian wisdom through ChatGPT wrappers as tech billionaires claim that regulating AI accelerates the coming of the Antichrist. Companies are rushing to slap an “AI” label to their brands in a frenzy similar to the Dot-Com bubble. Most importantly, we are becoming increasingly used to AI as an extension of our brains. We use it for research, guidance, self-expression, technical help, and many aspects of our private life. Many business coaches I see online seem obsessed with the idea of productizing one’s business; to turn your services into predefined, repeatable packages that sell on autopilot. Sure, there’s value in clearly defined offers and refined processes. Yet, no matter how well your bullet points are written, nothing replaces the experience of facing another human being and talking things through. Presence can’t be productized. The kind of work that actually changes lives doesn’t happen in a funnel. It happens when we listen deeply to what the other is saying, when we hold space for fears to show up without judgment, and we allow for what’s needed in the moment to arise. When someone comes to me for a website, I’m not just thinking about fonts or layouts. I’m thinking about *why* this project matters to them Because of this, some of the essential questions I like ask during the early stages of a project are: - Why do you *really* want a website? - What kind of business do you actually want to build? - What pace, what rhythm, what way of working brings out your best? We all have different motives for doing the work we do, and answering honestly to these questions helps give shape to a business that feels sustainable, both financially and emotionally. Ultimately, my goal as a builder of digital platforms is for the experience of working with me to feel like a meaningful, transformative collaboration. Because, for many of my clients, it is. So, as much as I’m encouraged to keep refining my systems, I’m doubling down on the one thing that makes my work truly valuable: Its humanity.
