Shout out to @norwich_kill_team for hosting a really fun Kill Team tournament at @athenagamesuk yesterday! They packed four rounds of games for 50 players into the day. All four of my games were great fun and played on completely new maps. I took my Ratlings and two games were against Wreckas, allowing us to recreate the Brutal and Cunnjng matchup! I was very happy to win the best painted prize against some stiff competition, and I also managed to win three of my games, which was much better than expected. However, the least said about my final game against @turningpointtactics the better: I was very tired and Ryan showed me how the Intel mission _should_ be played 🤣 Nevertheless, it was great to finally play him after a couple of years of benefiting from the tactical advice on his excellent YouTube channel. The highlight of my day had to be managing to fit a perfect narrative moment into a tournament, though: when fellow Ratlings player @primarispainter offered me a pork pie, the greedy Ratling in me had to say yes. @onceuponakillteam, please note the narrative opportunities in competitive play! Also: my Battlemutt got to eat the leader of a suspiciously ratty Wrecka crew. Good boy!
