Layoff part 1!! Seattle and NYC. Had an amazing time catching up with the family out west (who I hadn’t seen in over a year!) and then an all-too-brief trip to NYC to catch up seeing shows and seeing as many people as I could. Two weeks off flew by.

Happy 18 years, NYC! I love you so much. Thank you for bringing me amazing people who inspire me to be the best artist and human that I can possibly be. I’m so grateful. To the show that raised me,

Thank you. You were a dream show. You were proof that manifestation is possible. You trusted me to help create your foundation, and then kept bringing me back for years to come—to age with the show and to exchange pure joy with audience members from across the world.

Theater is ephemeral. It vanishes as soon as the lights go out. But what will never vanish is the human experiences we had, the lives we changed, and the collective joy and sorrow we shared.

May our blood, sweat, and tears be an offering to the universe and to the artists who follow in our footsteps long after we are gone. The kind of artists who are sadistic enough to want to jump into a split as soon as they hit the stage, because hard work and an embodied art form are privileges in a brutal world.

There are so many people to thank—from cast to front of house, crew to creatives, and everything in between. But mainly, thank you to @sonyatayeh for seeing something in me nine years ago and asking me to go on this ride with you. I never could have dreamed up this kind of love. @moulinrougebway ❤️‍🔥

Moulin Rouge closes on Broadway after an incredible 7 year run! This show changed my life and I’m so proud to be a small part of the legacy! Happy Trails to everyone and of course to @aknaderer!
