Somewhere in the passing of time, the ordinary has become beautiful, and my inner child finds magic in simple things. 💫
.
As someone who loves photographing wildlife, my eyes have become accustomed to spotting the smallest details hidden in the bush, the texture of bark, a sudden shift in colour, or a shape that doesn't quite belong.
.
On a recent trip through regional New South Wales, I found myself using that exact same lens, and managed to find beauty everywhere I looked.

3 tips to level up your automotive photography 📸🚗

I like to keep things simple: find a location that works, shoot from different angles and use a polariser to help control reflections.

Bit of an abstract one for you today 👁️
.
I found a pair of Brown Cuckoo-doves super high in a canopy, and was really struggling to get any decent shots of them. The all of a sudden - a gust of wind parted a gap between the branches, a break in the canopy let in a beam of light, and this dove turned from shadow at just the right moment to reveal this amazing shot.
It's rare to get such a nice view of the beautiful green iridescence on the head, but weirder still is that eye! Have you ever seen it with this eerie red scelera, because I sure haven't! 👀 I guess it is spooky season 🎃

Noisy Friarbird, ready to pounce 💥
.
These are super common in Northern NSW, but couldn't help but snap this guy when he was posing so nicely, with the beautiful pink flowers framing him. 🌸
