The Era of Ragtime had run out. As if history was no more than a tune on a player piano. But we did not know that then.

The era of Ragtime has officially come to an end.

I still can’t believe I’m writing this. A few months ago, I was offered the opportunity to be part of this beautiful show, something I honestly never thought I’d get to do. And now, here I am, looking back at one of the most unforgettable experiences of my life.

Rehearsals six days a week, Sunday through Friday, balancing school, work, and theatre, barely ever being home. There were so many moments when I genuinely didn’t think I was going to make it through. But somehow, I did, and I wouldn’t trade a single second of it.

The amazing, wonderful people in this cast have pushed me beyond what I ever thought I was capable of, and I cannot thank them enough. These people became my second family. They supported me through my struggles, celebrated my victories, listened to my endless yapping, answered my million questions, and were there for me when I needed them most. I seriously don’t know what I would’ve done without them.

I had the honor of portraying Henry Ford and Willie Conklin, two VERY different characters. Playing Willie was especially difficult because of the horrible, hateful, and vulgar language he uses. It was uncomfortable at times, but this cast constantly reminded me why we tell stories like this. They supported me, challenged me, and helped me cross that finish line.

To every single person who was part of this production, thank you. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for making this experience something I will carry with me forever. I pray that every single one of you has a beautiful, successful, and fulfilling journey ahead of you. You all deserve the absolute world, and I love each and every one of you more than you know.

I tried SO HARD not to cry on stage during our final performance, and I actually managed to hold it together… only to completely lose it in the car afterward. It’s crazy how a group of people who were once strangers can become people you can’t imagine your life without.

Thank you, Ragtime, for the memories, the lessons, the laughter, the tears, and most importantly, the family. Journey on, my friends.

“They say when you meet the love of your life, time stops, and that’s true. What they don’t tell you is that when it starts again, it moves extra fast to catch up”✨

That’s exactly how this has felt. Doing the thing I love the most, with the people I love, and it has just flown by.

This has been the greatest experience of my life. From the show itself, to playing this part, working with these phenomenal people, and creating so many amazing connections for life. Thank you to each and every person involved with making the beautiful story of “Big Fish” come to life.

This is my favorite show of all time, and Edward Bloom I think is and always will be a part of me. And there’s a little bit of him in all of us. A storyteller. We’re all telling stories in our own ways, each and every day. Wether they are for a job, ourselves, or to the next generation to be passed down for ages to come, everyone has a story and everyone has their own unique way of telling them.

Thank you to the incredible place that is @duewestcfa for casting me in this once in a lifetime opportunity, and thank you to @heatherschutz for being the greatest director anyone could ask for. And thank you to all of the friends for life I have made during this show. And thank you to everyone who came to see and support us and this story we had to tell.

I’m officially back in the theatre world and this was definitely a hell of a way to do it. And I can’t appreciate enough the universe for giving me this opportunity. Lots of work now to do, and I’m so excited and lucky to have so many supportive friends and family, new and old, alongside me.

“It all ends well’ and remember to always ‘be there hero of your story’, ‘fight the dragons’, and then the ‘world will soon be yours!’🐠💚🌼
