Steaming everywhere today! Big Freightliner!
.
Our newest single is something we're really proud of
.
We worked with @rhcitrullo in his beautiful studio @rhcmusicto in Toronto, where he produced and engineered and mixed this bad boy. Ross really was a pleasure to work with and got the best out of us and we learned so much. It was a really rewarding experience and validating that we could work and deliver at a professional level. Thank you Ross for everything!

It’s a big day. It’s @falcon_jane ‘Legacy’ day. It’s been a long time coming.

As 2020 dragged along in its own strange way, one of the great lights in my life was a collection of demos Sara sent me. She said, somewhat sheepishly, as I recall, that she’d found herself writing country songs. They weren’t a put on or an affectation—she grew up with country, she lives in the country. This is who she is.

I loved them.

Over time those heartbreaking and poignant demos became a fully fledged album, thanks to the amazing work of Sara, @andrewmcarthurmusic, and @josemiguelcontrerasavendano. These songs are immediately recognizable but truly unique. It’s such a beautiful balance.

I could go on and on, but I’ll leave you with a set of lyrics that open the album and move me every single time:

Hold me my child
Like I’m the one that needs holding

Now if that aint just the damndest thing…

Falcon Jane says ~

Excited to announce my third LP “Legacy” will be out August 23rd on Darling Recordings :)

Man Of Action, the first song on our upcoming record is out now!

The song is part eulogy, part funeral march, part outlaw country song.

It’s written from the perspective of a wild man at the end of his life, reflecting on his golden years and all the decisions that brought him to where he is now, reckoning with the helpless man he has become.

We’ve heard many songs about partying and recklessness, but what becomes of those men when they’re at the end of their days?
