Missing El Salvador so much right now, I wish I could go back! I’m so very grateful I got this opportunity to serve God on this missions trip. Some places just stay in your heart forever.

oh how easy it is to fall in love with El Salvador! especially when the Spirit is moving and God is working wonders. the Lord showed me so many incredible things on this trip, but I think the greatest is that I have an incredible family.
can’t wait to be back 🥰🇸🇻

11 months of prayer, planning, preparation, paperwork, and problem-solving led to what I believe to be the most impactful mission trip I’ve ever been apart of. ONLY BECAUSE OF GOD.

I watched 22 students step out of their comfort zones, serve with compassion, share the love of Jesus, and witness lives being touched in ways they’ll never forget. I love the people of El Salvador, but these are my people.

The most powerful thing for me wasn’t necessarily what happened through our students…it was watching what God was doing in them.

For the last five years, I’ve had the privilege of being their youth pastor. I’ve seen many of these students grow from 6th & 7th graders still trying to understand who they are into young men and women who genuinely love Jesus and want to make Him known. Watching them pray boldly, serve sacrificially, worship passionately, and say “yes” to whatever God asked of them left me emotional more times than I can count.

As a pastor, there are moments when you realize that all the Wednesday nights, conversations, camps, events, prayers, and investments matter. This trip was full of those moments.

I’ve never doubted that the work and effort is worth it, but it’s a special thing when I get to see a glimpse of it in the lives, callings, and faith of these students.

To our team: I am incredibly proud of you. I love you deeply. More than anything, I pray that what God started in you during this trip continues long after we’ve returned home. My greatest hope isn’t that you’ll just remember this trip…it’s that you’ll continue following Jesus with your whole heart for the rest of your lives.

Students, thank you for letting me be part of your story. Watching God work in your lives has been one of the greatest joys of mine.

A week in El Salvador that I’ll never forget. God moved in ways I never expected and showed me what it truly means to serve others. From building relationships to sharing His love, every moment challenged me, grew my faith, and reminded me how faithful He is. So thankful for the people I met, the memories made, and everything God taught me along the way.
