What a weekend of amateur boxing! Two days, three events, and twelve fights. The weekend kicked off Saturday morning with “Fight for GIRL” in CT. An all-female event that saw Selene, Karen, and Steph all perform brilliantly in competitive bouts. Selene went home with some new hardware, and all the ladies left with some incredible experience. Later that night, we brought the young guns over to Ed Lavache at Boston Boxing. Avi, Luis, Ozzy, Basem, Joaquin, Dan, and Anika all got to get some high quality rounds in front of a great crowd. Lastly, on Sunday morning we headed out to Topsfield for “Fight Night at The Fairgrounds,” hosted by Sonny’s Boxing. Both Charlie and Colin found themselves in WARS with two fantastic boxers. In the end, Charlie took home a hard-earned decision against an opponent that he’d previously lost to, and Colin got his first sanction win against a skilled opponent. The team showed up in numbers to each event, and made their presence known throughout. All three events were well-run and an absolute blast to be part of. Looking forward to the next one. #nolanbrosboxing #usaboxing #usaboxingnewengland #boxing

third boxing class ever vs. last night’s bag rounds. two years apart. back when i first started, i did not believe my body could ever move like it does now. nothing about my first several classes were pretty. i was brand new, had no technique, and had zero idea what i was doing. two years later i am a coach at the same gym, and a sanctioned fighter on their team. the only thing that changed was the number of reps behind me. it wasn’t talent, motivation, or a perfect start. it was hundreds of days of repetition and learning slowly until it became muscle memory. big thanks to the coaches at @nolanbrosboxing for the training system you’ve built + to my teammates for always pushing me right where i need to go. couldn’t have gotten here without either of you. if you’re at the start of something and it feels impossible: everyone is a beginner once. pick a skill you’ll actually enjoy, start smaller than you think you should, and give yourself grace on the days it doesn’t click. those days will happen, so set up some tools for yourself to make it easier. the rest is just time, effort, and intention. save this for the next day you want to stay home, and then get up and go. #boxing #consistencyiskey #weightlosstransformation #womensboxing #beginnerfriendly

Sunday made for an incredible day of boxing at Big Night Live. These amateurs are spoiled by the types of shows Danny Olivar and @sonnysboxingandfitness have been hosting. The atmosphere was electric, and the matchups were fantastic. The team went 1-1 on the day in two great matches. The one low point (tell me if you’ve heard this one before) is that Charlie had another opponent no-show. This is his third straight fight where opponents have pulled out. All good, he’ll be ready for the next. Massive shoutout to Team NBB that showed up in numbers!  It’s always a good night when the crowd has your back. Lots of great fights on the horizon. Still here, still fresh. #boxing #usaboxing #usaboxingnewengland #sonnysboxing #nolanbrosboxing
