In honor of me turning 20 this year:

I love my Creator, and what He created me for. I’ve been singing worship for as long as I can remember, but if you would have told 7 year old Luna that she would be leading worship someday, she would’ve told you her voice sucked and there was no way. If you would’ve said that to 14 year old Luna, she probably would’ve laughed in your face and cursed you out. 17 year old Luna would’ve told you she was going to be a lawyer and wouldn’t have time for church. Yet here I am, almost 13 years, like 6-7(?) directors, and so many beautiful moments later- doing exactly the thing younger me vowed never to do. And not only doing it, but loving it. Amidst all the chaos of life, two things have remained the most constant. 1. God’s love for me and 2. My way of showing Him how much I love him- worship. No matter how high I’ve been, or how low, my greatest weapon has always been a song.

To my dad: Thank you papa, for believing in me and stewarding my talents even when I didn’t want to. Thank you for raising me to love music from the moment I was born. Thank you for making me sing with you even when I was scared to. And most of all, thank you for showing me what the heart of worship looks like, for showing me that purity and teaching me to keep my eyes fixed on Jesus- singing for Him and Him alone.

To my Heavenly Father: Thank you, you never stopped chasing after me every time I turned away, every time I said “no” or “I don’t want to”, thank you for giving me the confidence and for loving me so much. Thank you for creating me to show you my love in such a beautiful way. I cannot wait to spend all of eternity worshipping, but while on this side of heaven, I want to spend the rest of my life singing of your love and singing your praise.
